Our cruise is scheduled to stop at Charlottetown PEI on October 9 the....I see it is Canada's Thanksgiving.

Hoping to find out if any cruisers or locals can tell me how this affects our sightseeing that day. Will everything be closed? I was hoping to book a private bus tour that day--. Thanks in advance for any assistance.:)

If I were you I would contact the bus company and ask them if they are offering tours that day. Then you would know for sure.

Trip Advisor (where I saw the tours)...will contact the company I inquired about and get back to me.He said many of the companies are closed for season...opening soon.

Why not rent a car? It would be a lovely drive to Victoria and then to the north shore from Cavendish to Brackley and then back via New Glasgow.

Thanks for the suggestion :).
