Thanks for your review, you might try the Europa2. It is resort casual all around with open dinning. Has the same high standards you talk about and the ship is just out of this world. Just 500 pass on a 42000 ton ship.

i am very happy i had the courage to book my first cruise on ms Europa in 2007

Hapag Lloyd became my first choice after so many cruise lines in the "luxury" category were degrading - i especially felt extremely unhappy after Crystal went all inclusive with quite some changes.

so far i never had problems with service attitudes

i prefer to pay for my own drinks and i do not mind to pay a few euro's for a decent sparkling water instead of some ice water out of a carafe ...

concerning the dress code : on other ships "black tie suggested" : some men are with tuxedo's , quite some others without a tie in the same dining room?

i am lucky i do understand German very well and i am able to speak it decently
