Shore Excursions

Has anyone done the Windstar tour of Manuel Antonio park? Would like to do an independent tour but worried about making a 7 am departure? If the ship docks at 6 how long does it take to get to shore ? I am assuming they use zodiacs?

Lots of hype about the park. Interesting but not the "you gotta see " item in our estimation. Take an independent walk, listen in on some other guides discoveries and enjoy the beach..the highlight

Our two college sons did one of the hikes in one of the parks but for the life of me I can't remember which one it was. I do remember it was a "strenuous" hike and it was suppose to be open to those with experience and able to walk. That's why they chose that one. But of course, they had two people that had no business being on a strenuous hike or any hike for that matter and it slowed the entire group down and was a big disappointment to the boys. They probably would have seen more and had a better time without those folks. I do know they enjoyed whichever park they went to although it could have been so much better. I think we would have booked them a private guide if we had known.
