Venice Transfer from Pier to Airport

We will be disembarking in Venice this April and would like to know what is the best and most affordable way to transfer from the pier to the airport. Ship transfer? Private taxi? Water taxi? How does it work? Any recommendations from the experts?

A little reading on the board would reveal you have essentially 5 choices. Ship's transfer, water taxi (most expensive) water bus (takes longest, but you get a bit of a tour) land taxi and land bus(cheapest).

If you can easily manage your luggage, the cheapest option is the ATVO express bus to the airport. 20 minutes, 8E pp. It leaves from Piazzale Roma. Your ship may run a free shuttle between the pier and P Roma, if not you can take the People Mover (monorail) to PRoma for 1.5 E pp, 3-4 minutes.

Depending on where your ship is berthed it could be a bit of a walk to the People Mover entrance.

If you can't manage, a taxi or cruiseline transfer.
