I just bought $150 of Carnival GiftCards for $135! Their in-store Purple discount flyer, available at the front door has a coupon.

Publix makes you pay with debit card or cash as they won't let you put more than $50 on a giftcard with your credit card. You also have to purchase at least $50 worth of groceries in order to purchase it. I made the mistake of buying $100 of groceries. Should have bought two lots of groceries and made myself eligible for TWO Carnival coupons! Duh!

I've always been able to buy gift cards on a credit card at the Publix I shop at.

Not quite as good as the last Publix offer I got ($15 off $100 gift card), but still better than nothing. FWIW, when I purchase the last ones, I was able to put them on my bill with my groceries and paid the entire thing with my credit card.

I get them and put them onto my onboard account, then I use the money in the casino for the slots :) I get credit card points and a 10% discount on my casino play !!!!

If you wanted to see something funny you should have seen me in Publix a little while ago. I don't usually shop there because it is way more expensive than Walmart or Aldi but I wanted the gift card. I was walking around with my calculator checking out all the BOGO's. I now have enough laundry detergent, olive oil, cat litter and cereal to last till next year, but I got my gift cards, lol!!!!!

Thank you everyone for the heads up! Headed there today to buy my first one, second one tomorrow, third one the next day. I've been chasing the Verizon gift cards as well as AARP and those are hard to catch in stock. these offer the same value and a lot easier to get.

Purchased my gift card on Friday. Previous poster was correct, Publix now limits the amount of gift card you can put on a credit card to $50.00, however, the cashier I worked with was AMAZING. She let me purchase 3 $50.00 gift cards in separate transactions and applied the $15.00 savings to the last card. I got the $150 in gift cards for $135 and was still able to use my credit card for the points. AWESOME !!! I LOVE Publix :)

They let me do the same thing yesterday at the Publix in Gadsden, Alabama. We did it in 3 different transactions.:)

This is what I had to do for my transaction today, too. It took a managers help so I'll recommend not going at rush hours. I tried to get the scoop at customer service before attempting, and picked up the 3 seperate cards. The cashier tried to put them all in one transaction and that is what made it not work. I had $50 in groceries with one $50 gift card and $15 coupon off. Then 2 seperate $50 gift card transactions. Glad my CC company didn't flag it or the folks behind me would have gone berserk.

After reading about this, I dashed down to my local Publix to purchase a gift card since I sail on Saturday. I bought the $150 gift card and paid $100 in cash and the remaining $35 and the groceries (needs to be over $50.00) on a charge.

Did have one problem, however, They are still not set up for handling this type transaction using a chip charge card. It took several minutes and several attempts before it went through. Had several people in the line behind me leave for other registers. The cashier (and Store Manager) did get it through, however, and I ended up with 4 receipts before it all ended.

Note I am not complaining and was happy to get the discount. Just thought I would mention it if you are contemplating doing this transaction. Might mention also that their is a deadline to this offer.

Got three 150 gift cards this weekend at publix. Used my debit card. Bit tricky with one of them. They have a hard time using two febit card for one transaction. My sister had the 50 in groceries and let me use the coupon. I paid for the gift card with my debit but the cashier had a hard time with the transaction. It worked though.
