port or starboard?

Azamara Quest Dubai to Singapore - which side does the ship dock on most of the time? it's not always port side we've discovered. So before we select a cabin, thought we'd ask if any one has taken this trip and what they might know.

Varies according to the port and the approach.

There's no way to tell. Most ports have multiple piers. They might want to wash the windows on the port side or the starboard side. They might need to paint on one of the sides. They rotate between the port and starboard life boats for the weekly crew drill. The list of reasons that determine how the Captain docks is long.
