Triumph Dry dock

Not going to happen anytime soon. Sadly there is only so much they can do with the AC system. I know on my last cruise it was warm, but then I also know people who would turn the AC up high and then leave the balcony door open so the cold air went out that room instead of traveling down the rest of the rooms. Keep the curtains closed if your room faces the sun and keep balcony doors closed.

If the air conditioning becomes problem, they will fix it before dry-dock. Not much of the system requires an actual dry dock for repair. If the problem is very serious, they will likely attempt repair while in port and most people are off the ship.

Just got off on Saturday 8/29, I know on Thursday while we were in Progresso they worked on the A/C. The night before they sent a note out that they would be working on the A/C and on the balcony. Warning it would be warm on the ship and it may still be warm when we got back on board in the afternoon. We took a fan with us on board so that helped and I was never hot.

April 4, 2016 is the first cruise after Triumph's dry dock.

Just curious: where did you see this info about a 2016 maintenance/dry dock for Triumph? I know there's about a two week gap between it's last cruise from Galveston (which ends on March 21st) and when it repo's to New Orleans (sailings starting on April 4th) and so it would be reasonable to assume it's going in for maintenance during that time but I cannot find that reported anywhere.

Really? I haven't been on since last April, 8 total on her, and never had an issue with it being too hot. Hopefully, as a previous poster said, it was fixed and will no longer be an issue. I love that girl.

Was on the same cruise and didn't find it shabby or dirty? When I first boarded cabin was warm but once I opened both 'ceiling vents' all the way it was fine.

Worst part for me was deck 5 - WHOLE deck was abnormally stinky/smoky - yes of course the casino was bad (and I noticed they had some 'extra' smoke eating machines put in there after a few days) - but stepping off aft elevators (near back lounge) was like walking into an ashtray - yuck! ..the smell was all the way back there? Very unusual.....(yes I mentioned this in the survey I was sent).

Otherwise food and service was excellent in my opinion. :)

Glad to hear it is not that bad. I hate that the casino's are so smokey

We have an 8-day booked in April and I really hope the AC works. We cruised twice in 2014 on the Dream and had AC problems both times. We could never get our room cool enough. I saw someone mention they brought a fan. How did you get a fan in your suitcase?
