Hokapontas Posted February 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2016 Does the hotel have a website? Or maybe ask your travel agent. Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk
twin123185 Posted February 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2016 Email the hotel. It's on the IHG website. They do not have transportation to the airport. Taxis are easy to get. Will cost around $20.

Do they provide transfer to the airport? I would consider booking a room for the night instead of a day room. You will get in around 3:00, and there is plenty to keep you occupied between getting off the ship and getting into your room. That way you'll be able to shower just before you leave for the airport, and have a place to go after the sun sets and the bugs come out.

sammyboots Posted August 4, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2016 Mosquitoes are the main issue and we were very careful to spray ourselves when staying on the islands. The only place I did end up getting bitten regardless of using a deet insect repellant, was at the IC Tahiti. Our room was full of mosquitoes and I spent most of the evening trying to swat them! Chikungunya can be spread by their bites.:(

The IC should be taking better care of this with the advanced scare of them critters because not only Chikun... but also Zika. Just remember guys if you are bit and it is determined you caught Zika = no unprotected sex for at least 6 months

Petoonya Posted September 1, 2016 #11 Share Posted September 1, 2016 I'm taking cruise air so not sure what I'll be assigned. But found a little B&B in residential area in Papeete. Will use it as an overnite or day room as needed. The price is extremely reasonable and proprietor offers airport transfers. It's a 5 min drive from the port or 20 minute walk. Fare Suisse- it's on Tripadvisor.
