Traditional Late Seating Dining

We are booked on the Equinox for November 9, 2015 sailing. At the time of booking we were wait-listed for traditional late seating dining, and given my time dining. The website does not tell what if any progress has been made on the list. I called Celebrity and was told because I booked with a travel agent, the agent has to call. She called and was told the same thing. We are wait-listed. Does anyone know the person's phone or email that is in charge of this? They should at least be able to tell us what number we are on the list, or if any progess has been made.

Sorry if this doesn't really answer your question as I'm not sure who would be best to contact for info before the cruise.

When we booked for Reflection, we were assigned 6.15pm dining which was too early for us and asked to move the either later sitting or anytime dining. We were emailed to say we had been assigned anytime and weight listed for the 8.45pm seating, but no info on how far up the weight listing we were.

Once on board, we found we actually hadn't been moved and were still allocated the early time.

As soon as we realised, we went to speak to the maitr'd at Opus and they happily changed us to late sitting with no mention of weight listing at all.

Lots of people were trying to change dining options, so as long as you make it a priority once on board, hopefully they will resolve it pretty quickly for you! :)

Most find that they can change once on board. Some have had success calling Celebrity; in your case your TA would have to periodically check.

If all else fails, you can make a "reservation" for the time you want each night, online or when you board. You can do this in advance online, but some report that it is time consuming.

FYI, Celebrity uses the term Select dining.

Try not to worry about it now...they will do their very best to get you what you want. Usually, that happens ON the ship, as there will be tons of people who want to switch their seatings....they do a remarkable job!

So..do NOT stress about this now! It will all work out!!!

For sure have the TA call again right after final payment. Until then, Celebrity really doesn't know what they have booked/confirmed. Once tentative people cancel their bookings, slots in all areas will open up, even if briefly.

And yes, if that doesn't work, stop by the MDR when you board. The maitre d' will be there helping all the folks that want to do last minute changes.

On several occasions on more than one line we were "wait listed" for the dining seating we wanted. Once on board, it never was a problem to get the seating we preferred.

Hi,

We booked months ago for our cuise in September. We were put on the waitlist for the late seating. When I checked a few weeks ago we are off the wait-list and are now listed as have the late seating.:) Hopefully this will be the same for you!

Happy sailing!
