Just go for it. We are booked for the 5 day New Year cruise on the QV. did the same a couple of years ago. Chilling out after Christmas was perfect. We've sailed 4 times on QV and looking forward to seeing her refurb. Having said that a long weekend in Brugge is perfect too and easy to do on Eurostar - and you don't have to worry about the sea state.

We usually don't take short cruises, especially on non-premium massmarket (Celebrity and such), to avoid party crowd.

But we decided to sail on 5 dayer on QM2 for Independence Day cruise out of NYC as this crowd should be nice.

Hello

I feel really sorry for the hardworking cabin stewards and these shorter voyages. The QM2 is currently on a TWO NIGHT cruise to Belgium. The stewards have to work really hard to turn over the cabins for the next passengers leaving tomorrow after they just did it just two days earlier. I don't know if you have seen them in action on turnaround day (Which I have numerous times.) but it is a tough grueling process.
