Go to wwwcruisetimetables.com and plug in your ports into the second list. Then the time you want to cruise. It will show you who stops there and their itineraries. Lots of cruises from the UK and Spain in the winter. A bit further south, the Canaries are to Europe as the Caribbean is to North America. EM

The one which caught my eye was a long cruise on Fred Olsen, out of Liverpool this summer. It visits Madeira and one Azorean island on the way to Bermuda, where it stays for 3 nights for the America's Cup, and then returns via three other islands of the Azores.

We loved the Azores, and thought about this cruise mainly for visiting four islands; sadly the timing isn't right.
