Glory 2/25/17 Cancelled

Just got the email from Carnival that this sailing as well as the next one is cancelled because Glory is going to dry dock

I know this is bad news for anyone booked on those sailings but she should still be in really good shape on our cruise in November.

Aww! Sorry to hear that. How does Carnival handle a situation like this? Do they book you on another cruise during the same time, or are you just supposed to book another cruise on your own?

I believe since its for next year that is just a regularly scheduled dry dock

Seems strange that they would have started booking cruises before scheduling the dry dock!

You are able to book another one on your own. We are given 50 obc each for compensation.

Carnival has been known to do stranger things that's for sure! Back to trying to figure out what cruise I am going to take

They always book cruises on ships before they have DD schedules firmed up.

Another question...if you booked during the $50 per person deposit sale, what happens if they cancel your cruise and you have to book another one? Do they still honor the $50 deposit promotion?

That's weird Glory already has all the 2.0 updates. Other ships need it worse. Must be mechanical.

If its mechanical they wouldn't likely wait a year to get the ship to DD

Man sorry for your news. Hopefully you can find another cruise that meets your dates and go where you want to visit.

Ships must go in for wet/dry dock after so many years regardless of whether it is getting any upgrades or needs any type of maintenance. More than likely that is the case with Glory.

Thanks. Obviously, I haven't had enough coffee today.

I received a message that showed Carnival Glory in the Subject Line but then stated in the text it was Carnival Sensation. I booked through Cruisesonly.com so I am waiting for clarification. I was booked on the 3/4/17 cruise. A real bummer.

My PVP was able to rebook us on the Splendor and Carnival honored the 99 deposit sale
