Rare Catlover54 Posted September 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Greetings to anyone on the Silver Wind, from your neighbor one berth down in Barcelona, the MS Europa, on this beautiful day 9/16/16 in this magnificent city. I also saw you berthed right next to us in Sevilla a few days ago. I hope you are all having as wonderful a cruise experience on your small luxury ship as I am on this first experience for me on this small luxury ship (link to my cruise blog starting in Lisbon 9/8 is below if your are interested). My cruise, sadly, ends in Nice 9/21. I am happy not to be on the multithousand passenger MSC ship that is docked further down. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2399633

Rare jpalbny Posted September 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2016 That is great! Happy to see pictures of Barcelona. I was very surprised to hear that you docked directly in Seville, however. Am I understanding that correctly? If so, that is awesome news! The two times we cruised to Seville (2008, 2010), we docked in Cadiz and took the train. So it really cuts down on your time in Seville.

Rare Catlover54 Posted September 16, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted September 16, 2016 JP, only smaller ships can get into Seville to dock there. At times we were very close to the edge as shown here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rare jpalbny Posted September 16, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Great shots of the journey! If I read one of the websites correctly, the cruise ship terminal in Seville is only a few years old. We were on the Wind in 2010, but still docked in Cadiz. Perhaps the terminal wasn't ready yet? Oh well, an excuse to go back... :D
CruisinPashmina Posted September 16, 2016 #10 Share Posted September 16, 2016 I was on the Wind as recently as last June. Passengers wanting to go to Seville still had to take the loooong bus ride. Did that once. Never again. Having Seville as the port would be terrific.

Rare Catlover54 Posted September 17, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted September 17, 2016 In Seville the docking was so central that we could easily walk into the old town for sightseeing excursions We stayed there two nights Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's a rhetorical question.
