I used my OBC for Specialty Dining package. When I go to book a time on celebrity website for a restaurant, it request I put in my credit card (even tho Specialty Package appears on my purchases). Has anyone else encountered this? Not sure if this is the norm and they credit my account after purchase? Thanks for your help, first cruise and not quite sure what I'm doing. Jan

The Celebrity website is notorious for being difficult. I would suggest either calling there directly or waiting until you board to make your reservations. I once made them all ahead of time and they didn't have any of the right dates or times when I got onboard so had to make the changes once we boarded anyway.

Same thing happened to me when I tried to book a shore excursion using OBC, I gave up and called the Enhancement Dept to make sure it done correctly. Number is

800-722-5941.

Enhancement department just told me I couldn't get advanced reservations with a dining package - I had to wait until I got onboard.

I'm trying to time it with friends, so I am not a happy camper right now.

There is a place on my reservation where I can add someone else. Want me to try it?

So, having Jo book didn't work (thanks for trying) so my question remains.

Is it the case that if you purchase a dining package you can't make advance reservations? Does that mean it's possible you can't use the package if everything is sold out? This seems like they are trying to rip you off, but I doubt that's really the case.

I'm trying to book the same time on two restaurants as people I want to eat with, and it looks like I can't get one.

So is it the case that dining package purchasers are low priority? They didn't tell me that when I booked.

Or should I contact someone else at Celebrity? I'm pretty annoyed about this.

I feel the same way abbydancer. We have a 6 night package booked and we can't actually make any reservations until we board the ship. I tried emailing and asking for help but they said they were unable to make reservations for me. I've now worked out what restaurants and dining times I want and the moment we board I'm going to go and book them all at once. . I won't be happy if I can't get the times and restaurants we prefer though so fingers crossed it all works out.

The dining package reaervations can't be made until you are on board. We have been sailing on Celebrity for 5 years and have not encountered or heard of anyone not being able to use their dining package. In fact we always find crew from the speciality restaurants stationed outside the buffet encouraging you to book the speciality restaurants at a discount

I'm sure on some holidays like Valentines Day, Christmas the restaurants may be full but most of the time they aren't full.

I called Captain's Club and reserved one restaurant for the second night. Tried to book another few nights and was advised we could book only one night and then the rest onboard. We bought 6 night dining package.
