Shopping with the Chef

On the Cruise Venice to Istanbul, which port is likely to be selected for this activity?

We have done it twice in Corfu on that routing and expect it to be the same on our June cruise Istanbul to Venice. But then they might surprise us!

We did shopping with the chef in Kusadasi. Chef was also shopping in Kotor but there was no organised tour.

We did it in Izmir

If the OP is sailing this season then Izmir and Kotor will not be options as I believe none of the itineraries for the Venice to Istanbul cruises include those ports..

Thank you for your replies. Chairsin is correct. We are stopping at Corfu and Kusadasi, but not at Izmir or Kotor.

Just remember the shopping with the chef tour may no longer be announced.

So we should ask/express an interest?

When you board I would try asking at Seabourn Square, If they claim they don't know or it has not been finalized seek out the chef after the first night. You might try something on the order of complimenting one of the dishes you enjoyed the previous night and telling him how much you are looking forward to going shopping with him. A little sugar never hurts!

I agree with the others. On our cruise SWTC was not announced in the daily bulletin and the good folks at Seabourn Sq. had no clue. We should have sought out the chef, since we completely missed the boat! How's that for a well-chosen cliche/metaphor?
