Can OBC Be Used To Pay For Tips?

For the first time ever we have booked a cruise where we get a large amount of on board credit each.

I know that it can be used for things like excursions and drinks but I wondered if the £6 a day tips can also be offset against the credit?.

Yes and I am going to do just that on our next few cruises booked.

It will of course depend on how much you have to your OBC credit and when the tips are allocated to the account.

On a recent 5 week cruise on Oceana...

...they were allocated in two stages.

Effectively the first tranche came off my OBC but by the time the second tranche was charged my OBC had been spent.
