What happens when you arrive Barbados between arrival and the airport?

Are you able to stay on board till the afternoon transit to the airport?

If you are what time do you have to vacate your cabin?

Usually vacate cabin 8-8.30 ish. We pack up, go for breakfast return to cabin to use the bathroom, collect our hand luggage. We then deposit that in the secure hand baggage store on board but keep essentials - money, passport, medication with us - then go ashore for a few hours. We often stroll to the Bridge Hotel on the bridge in the centre of Bridgetown have a last leisurely drink and watch the world go by before going back to the ship for lunch and await our transfer to the airport. You have time to get to the beach for a few hours should you wish, or half day excursions are available too - or you can just relax on board taking advantage of the ship's facilities until it's time to leave. You can book a cabin for use during your departure day too - for a charge. So all very civilised with plenty of options of how to spend your last day.

We tend to stay on the ship the last day. We might go up on deck or just be in one of the lounges. We have often met up with our table companions for a final lunch together which has been very pleasant. It is possible to use the pool if you wish and towels are available. It is lovely being able to stay on the ship and not have to get off in the morning and wait all day at the airport.

We had to vacate our cabin at 8am.We booked a day cabin for the departure day a few days before the end of the cruise.

In December it was £50 for an inside cabin (other types are available but cost more) and was available to use from 9.30am to 4pm .

Most passengers have left before this time depending on your flight time ours was 5.30pm and we left the ship at 2.30pm.
