"Wild Alaska" on Netflix

There is a 3 episode 'series' on Netflix right now called "Wild Alaska". It's mostly about wildlife, but we have enjoyed it...

Episodes are "Spring", "Summer" and "Winter"....an hour each...

This is a good show.....we've watched every season on TV. It amazes me Sue living up there all alone. Another good show on Nat Geo is "The Last Alaskans".....we really enjoy this one too. Check it out.....

Destination America has Railroad Alaska - that too has been enjoyable.

Ones doesn't realize how many shows about Alaska there are available. Now that I'm doing my research for our trip next year - I'm starting to understand the area, terrain, culture - and, oh so much more!

My favorite are the House Hunters-like shows. 'Buying Alaska' and 'Living Alaska'. You get a good look at the towns and the ports.

DH enjoys Port Protection Alaska. It's about a small island town near Ketchikan I believe.

Alaska State Troopers, Port Protection, Buying Alaska, Living Alaska, Life Below Zero......all great shows for getting a feel for Alaska. And pretty neat for memories after your trip.

I have been watching everything Alaska for three years. PBS has a show called Wild Photo Adventures that did a three part series on Alaska. The Science Channel had a show called Alaska Mega Machines that was interesting. But my favorite is Buying Alaska and I watch Railroad Alaska sometimes. I use to love Ice Road Truckers but every other word had to be beeped out.

National Geographic Wild had a great episode called: Alaska's Glacier Bay
