mickeychicky Posted October 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2015 So, for all the professional cruisers that have taken a cruise in mid December from Florida (specifically Tampa to Honduras, Belize & Mexico) I was wondering what the weather is like on the cruise itself. I am from the Tampa Bay area and know what local weather is like in December but really want to know how cold it gets out there on the water. I'm sure the destinations themselves aren't too cold but if you want to chime in about those locations as well I would love to hear if I need to pack parkas (lol) or bathing suits. I joke about the parkas only because I am native Floridian and anything below 70 to me is "freezing" and I am in my sweats with the heater on. Thanks! Nic6318 Posted October 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2015 As you travel south the temperature will be rising. You will likely find your home port to be the only place that you might feel cold. have a great cruise
dorisis Posted October 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2015 The only problem we have ever had cruising out of Tampa , was fog, which kept us from getting to the port one year. When you get into the Caribbean it is pretty warm. No parkas needed. the ship can be quite cool, so do bring a shawl or sweater.
moniquet Posted October 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 7, 2015 We found the last sea day going back towards Tampa was cool, spent most of the day inside the ship.
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 8, 2015 Weather these days is a bit unpredictable but it should be on the warmer side in Mexico. Keith
