Yes you can take on what you like with in reason-crates and crates of beer may raise a few eyebrows.

I take on a wine box..in my hand luggage..

You can restock at ports you stop at.

As has been posted this is for in cabin consumption only.

If you take wine into the mdr you will be charged approx. £15 corkage..i think.

Compared to the US lines it is great - few restrictions :)

We have taken a box of wine and, at other ports or on wine tours, sometimes we have taken as many as an extra 8 bottles.

These are to take home or drink in your cabin - otherwise there is a charge, which is fair.

It is also good that you can buy spirits on board and drink it in your cabin if you so wish.

:)

Many thanks.

Just finishing off the packing now ready for tomorrow.

Take what you want to and don't even think about it.

Have a great cruise and safe journey 'down South'

Thanks. Looking forward to experiencing a different cruise line.

Everything is packed now including our fizz in the hand baggage.

Thanks everyone for the help and advice on this and other threads.

I would put bottles only in hand luggage! I'd never put a bottle in checked-in luggage....

VP

Conversely, we always place ours in our checked-in bags (for flights too); couldn't possibly put it in hand luggage - too heavy to carry! ;)

We usually take a litre of vodka and 2 bottles of champagne. We also take mixers and lemon as they're more expensive than the alcohol on the ship :D We order ice from room service

No need to take lemon just put in a daily order for lemon slices with room service :)
