Dubai Airport/Cruiseport questions

Arriving 8:10am morning of cruise. What transportation, Airport to Cruiseport, is recommended for party of four? Earliest estimate of luggage check-in (Vision of the Seas)? First time in this part of World and would like to see as much as possible.

I don't know when you can get on your ship.

If you arrive at 8.10, expect perhaps an hour to clear all formalities and exit the terminal.

Follow signs to the taxi rank. A dispatcher will find you a suitably sized taxi. The taxi will be clean and metered. No problem at all in the UAE.

Prices are low, compared to NZL.

I've only ever paid cash, so I am not sure taxis accept credit cards.

Taxi lines are generally moving fast, but you may encounter the tail end of rush hour.

To speed your way through Immigration and Customs, buy the Marhaba bronze-level service (Google it). It will cost about $30 PP, but when we used it, we were through the private immigration line in 30 seconds. The attendant will escort you to the luggage area and show you were you can find an ATM to get cash for the generally-cash-only taxis.
