To my English speaking friends.

In four weeks we are joining KONINGSDAM in Amsterdam to get to Civitavecchia.

I am late with my translations of my blogs. And I sincerly apology for being late. But due to my new job challenge I need time for something diffrent.

We booked KONINGSDAM because we had an outstanding and unforgettable experience on EURODAM New Year's Eve 2014/15.

EURODAM will be always my "first love" because we went with her on her very first sailing from Rotterdam, The Netherlands to Copenhagen, Denmark via Hamburg, Germany.

It was now my third sailing with her and I would like to share with my English-speaking friends our experiences we had on this special New Year's cruise and why you should consider to book such a special cruise too.

And especially I want you to "meet" (virtually) all our crew-friends onboard of EURODAM who made us coming back now on KONINGSDAM.

So you are invited to join on my blog again.

The first four chapters are ready now in English: starting with our pre-cruise in Fort Lauderdale, FL (a lot to see for cruise ship spotters) and the first day onboard of EURODAM.

I will revert when Days 2-8 (and 9) are avaiable in English. This will be soon hopefully. But I want to have it ready before I board KONINGDAM in four weeks.

So hopefully you will have as much joy when reading as we had onboard.

Regards

HeinBloed

For my English speaking friends:

Days at sea are something wonderful with Holland America.

It was the perfect start of a cruise. One day after embarkation you had the relaxing day at sea.

We made so many friends the first day. From seaman upto the Captain: I love the way I am treated with Holland America.

Enjoy the Day 2 of our New Year's Cruise on EURODAM 2014/2015 in my blog:

http://heinbloed-hal.blogspot.ch/2014/12/seetagday-at-sea-2-auf-deron-eurodam.html

I am happy that at least one will be back on our KONINGSDAM-cruise in a little more than three weeks: Don Hebets.

The more I am working on my translation the more I am looking forward to be soon on board of a HAL ship again.

I will revert, when we arrive in St. Thomas.

To my English speaking friends:

I am getting older! I become more forgetful! That is the reason why I am blogging. I do not want to forget the great memories.

I love Nicholas Sparks' "The Notebook". So Bruno could be my reader one day... when I cannot remember myself...

So it was not St. Thomas but Grand Turk which was the next port on our NYE-Cruise 2014/15 on EURODAM.

Day 3 in two chapters:

http://heinbloed-hal.blogspot.ch/2014/12/tagday-3-auf-deron-eurodam-in-cockburn.html

http://heinbloed-hal.blogspot.ch/2014/12/tagday-32-auf-deron-eurodam-in-cockburn.html

Well: honestly Grand Turk was not my world.

But we had our cabana on EURODAM and it could replace any port. And the service... just cloud 9. I could take Michael and Jayson home.

And the Las Vegas Show "Recycled Percussion" made me 20 years younger and a "groupie".

How much I am looking forward now. 3 more weeks before KONINGSDAM. And I hope to see Michael and Jayson again there in the cabana: I would cancel all landtours!

So I will revert from our next place which is San Juan, PR.

Enjoy so far. I have commitments this weekends which do not allow me to continue before Monday night to translate.

So have a nice weekend and some fun to read.

My blog continues:

New Year's Eve in San Juan, PR.

My very first time that I spent such a special day on a cruise ship.

And since it is our friend Sigrid's birthday it was great to see what they did on EURODAM to make this day special.

And many many pictures for Shipspotter's.

A great decision to stay New Year's Eve on a cruise and especially on EURODAM. And very good reasons to experience it again.

One chapter from San Juan, PR:

Now the next is St. Thomas, USVI. I will revert.

The blog continues for my English-speaking friends.

Heading for New Year on St. Thomas USVI.

The ship is so great - why should you leave the ship?

Especially when you had a great crew like we had.

Day 5 of our cruise on EURODAM over New Year's Eve 2014/2015.

The blog continues for my English-speaking friends.

Day at sea with Holland America does not mean relaxation:

so much food, so much activities...

So you better stay with you works that I can have the ship all by myself... I know that this is selfish... but why sharing the wonderful ship, the wondful crew and the wonderful experiences.

With a day at sea with Holland America you can see best the differences: you have a lot of space so no need to be selfish: for a "mass-product" a very good space/passenger-ratio.

One day at sea with Holland America means also some memories back with friends who could not join us anymore on cruises since they passed away on cancer and we can easily support the reseaches that no more friends need to join this list.

Our last day at sea on the way back to Florida on the New Year's sailing on EURODAM 2014/15 in one chapter.

I will revert from Half Moon Cay.

The blog continues for my English-speaking friends.

Who has never been on Half Moon Cay before should try it - like I did the very first time...

I really could stay there forever...

When crew-members are becoming friends it becomes very hard to leave. I could take our cabana stewards Jayson and Michael home.

The last but one chapter of a wonderful voyage over New Year's Eve 2014/15 on EURODAM:

http://heinbloed-hal.blogspot.de/2015/01/tagday-7-auf-deron-eurodam-in-half-moon.html

I will revert once we are back in Fort Lauderdale. The cruise might end there but not our voyage.

The EURODAM-blog comes to the end for my English-speaking friends.

A great cruise over New Year's Eve 2014/15 comes to the end. It was more expensive than any regular cruise but it was worth.

Not just it was Holland America but especially it was so special.

There was nothing really bad. Minor items less good (like docking time in San Juan, PR). But there was soo much good we experienced that it is easy to forget and forgive.

Thanks to a great crew - It was again an outstanding experience we had again.

The day of embarkation in one chapter:

http://heinbloed-hal.blogspot.ch/2015/01/tagday-8-auf-der-eurodam-in-fort.html

Now in 11 days we are embarking on KONINGSDAM and looking forward to meet on board at least two familiar faces. But we truly hope that we can celebrate many many reunion-parties and taking many many reunion-selfies.

This time we extend our stay onboard to 12 nights. It is a must. Looking foward.

The EURODAM-blog ends here. I hope to start my new KONINGSDAM blog in October 2016.

The blog of this voyages continues on NORWEGIAN SKY and later on DISNEY DREAM.

Regards
