Carnival cruiser Reflection review 4/7-4/13
SkystheLimit replied to finoky's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Nice review. We were on the Reflection in March and had a nice time. Some of the music was loud but overall a pleasant cruise. -

All I know is I hope the patient is sedated because that winch ride looks terrifying! -

Not sure of your plans but we enjoyed the International Seafood Market and the Maritime Museum. Off the beaten path but fun. Such a wonderful city! -
Seriously, you will stop cruising on Viking if you see decorated doors? How does that impact your cruise in a negative way unless a streamer hits you in the face on the way by. While not common to see on Viking, I can't really see the offense to others. The tiny ducks are pretty innocuous as well.

Lounge chair abuse is everywhere including resorts, community pool, ship, etc. I am not going to get up at the crack of dawn to secure a lounge chair. When I do decide to go the the pool area it is usually easy to spot the "reserved" chairs--a book, a towel, towel clips, or maybe some sunglasses. Nothing of real value. So, after observing for a little while I politely put those items aside and use the chair. When they return-sometimes 3 hours later I simply say I was "holding your space". They know their crime!

While we enjoyed our recent cruise on the Reflection, we agree about an identity crisis. We definitely put that in our comments. Music was SO loud everywhere and the selections were all over the place. The grand foyer really wasn't designed for games but it was used frequently for that. Nor was it designed for a DJ playing music until midnight or later. It reverberated all the way to the top decks. Service was still good and we were pleased with the food which we weren't expecting based on reviews a couple of months old. Just didn't feel right on the Reflection one of our favorite ships.

I loved the flavor of the olive oil cremeaux when I had it on the Reflection last week. Our server got the recipe for me from the chef. Only problem, it was a recipe for 400 servings! -

Celebrity Reflection ABC Cruise - December 9 - 17
SkystheLimit replied to stbr's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Thank you for the review. We are booked on the same itinerary with FCC in March and have been a bit apprehensive with some of the changes. Our friends were on your cruise and said it was a great trip. So, we are now getting excited like in olden days. -
Fifteen Minutes won't change this

We have our 15th Celebrity cruise booked and paid for on the Reflection in March. Future Cruise Credits were the only reason for going ahead with the booking. Hopefully, some of the drastic changes have slowed but we shall see. Shortened itineraries and the lack of a true balcony on the E-Class ships are driving factors for us. We absolutely loved the layout of the original Solstice ships and the wonderful forward facing panoramic lounge. We have cruises booked but just not on Celebrity after the Reflection cruise. -
Is this while she takes time off from her stay in the iconic suite. This type of "visit" does no favors for the other passengers. Crew are clamoring all over themselves to please the higher ups on board. Travel incognito. Many years ago I worked in the service industry and there was one particular area that we were really struggling to complete the project on a daily basis. So, they sent in upper management types to "help" us. It went downhill from there. I've owned businesses and have worked at pretty much every level of service. If you truly listen to the people that are doing the work you will find the answers to the problems.
