Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. In June I will be on cruise to Norway with a lady I met on our Icelandic cruise last July and booking excursions was made easy thanks to Customer Services. As we had booked independently they agreed to link our two bookings and allowed us to book on the phone when excursions were released. I had contacted people on the May cruise to Norway via these boards and with their help managed to find a link to the excursions on offer for Idyllic Norway. Having discussed our options I booked and paid for everything on the phone for both of us and my travelling companion reimbursed me afterwards. I agree that it makes life difficult now that excursion information is not posted but we have been lucky to have booked without having to rely on the Internet. I hope that Saga may reconsider the issuing of paper information. Perhaps they could refrain from sending out so many brochures to people who have booked already and brochures which have very little availability. Best of luck to all for booking excursions
  2. Thank you so much for this very informative link which has helped me make my choices. Suron
  3. Can anyone advise the activity level for this shore excursion on the Idyllic Norway cruise. Would like to take this trip but need to know the amount of walking involved. Also pricing details would be appreciated.
  4. Thank you everyone for your useful feedback. I apologise for not replying sooner but cataract operation took priority! I contacted Saga and they said it will be possible to take rollator on tender if as someone said I can meet requirements regarding boarding the tender.
  5. I am grateful for the reassuring comments. My rollator folds down, is very light and I am hoping it will be permitted on the tenders with help from the crew. I will abide by any decision the cruise line take .
  6. Thank you for your reply. On my last cruise I was quite able to negotiate the stairs to the tender but only used a walking stick then and the crew were very helpful. Once on board I will check with the excursions team and hopefully I will be able to have my rollator with me ashore.
  7. On a previous cruise with Saga there were a few people with rollators when we went on coach excursions. I have a mobility problem and use a rollator for walking outdoors and just wanted to know if I could take it on a tender as well as the coach.
  8. Thank you for your reply. I too would hope the captain would not allow them on a tender if there was any risk with weather conditions. I will endeavour to get my question answered by Saga themselves but posted in the hope that there may have been someone who had actually taken their rollator on a tender
  9. Can anyone tell me if Saga allow rollators on a tender boat.
  10. I have just arranged assistance for my cruise on Spirit of Adventure and there is a limit on the number of people this can be offered to so this must be requested when booking and not left until check-in
  11. Many thanks for the information
