  1. you're missing the point I was trying to make. The bed is so close, you can lay in the bed and be way more comfortable then any chair and foot stool. Everyone keeps making the point about the ac turning off with the glass down and on hot weather cruises that may not be ideal. Which I would say how long do you sit on your balcony when its blazing hot outside and the sun shinning on your side of the ship? 🤔
  2. We did Aus/NZ this past March on the Edge. We are big balcony lovers but really like the IV. So much so we booked one for Star of the Seas in Sept '25. Now the Temps were in the low 70's so that made it comfortable to pretty much have it open the whole cruise. Plus if you have a bed by the veranda you get to lay in bed, breeze coming in and views like this....
  3. What do you mean, I underlined it? It simply requires that the price listed include all mandatory charges consumers will pay.
  4. I completely agree. But if you do partake in a cruise planner purchase it should follow the same rule as everything else. The law isn't just for travel, its basically for everything. And as I said before nothing is mandatory to buy, not the cruise, not a hammer, not a burger, but they all need to have all mandatory fees included in the price you see. SB 478 is a transparency law. A business can generally charge whatever amount it wants for a good or service, but the posted price must include the full amount that a consumer will pay for that good or service. The statute does not change what price a business can charge or what may be included in that cost. It simply requires that the price listed include all mandatory charges consumers will pay. SB 478 applies to the sale or lease of most goods and services that are for a consumer’s personal use including event tickets, hotels and other lodging, restaurants, and food delivery. SB 478 eliminates bait and switch tactics and demands transparency, so that consumers know what they are paying for and the total cost of a good or service upfront.
  5. No the 1st price is what you see when you click on it and add it to your cart. The second is after its in the cart. $100.42 more then what the advertised
  6. Ummm, but isn't a cruise an optional purchase too?
  7. Why do you suppose the new California Law doesn't apply to the cruise planner purchases. Gratuities are not included in the price shown but you are charged for them and you cannot remove them. Seems like this falls directly under that law, the price they show is not the price you pay??? And yes I do live in CA just in case they can geo locate people.
  8. Haha i get what your saying but a little confused about watching more than 1 game at a time. Its been a coupe years but I remember tvs being everywhere. Maybe not, like I said its been a couple years. And don't forget 1/3 of the games are commercials, plenty of time to glance at the ocean and remember where you are 🙂
  9. Thats so funny, different strokes for different folks. I think that Playmakers has the best location on Odyssey. Being way up on top of the ship being able to watch your favorite team while looking out at the ocean or looking down at the sports court and see whats happening. Noting better.....
  10. I would definitely agree as well. some of the S class ships are getting a little tired as well. We just got off the edge and edge and odyssey were on par IMHO
  11. I'll throw my question in too since it doesn't follow the normal pattern. Odyssey Cabins 13160 and 13560 seem to be cabins not in a pair. So would these be bed by the balcony or by the bath.

  13. Just a couple of shots of Sydney from our room. (Sorry don't mean to hijack your thread but thought id throw a couple pics in)
  14. Hi, Were on the Edge too. Arrived yesterday from San Diego, direct flight on Delta in Premium. The Edge is here!! The flight wasn't bad at all except when I booked our seat in the 2 4 2 config with a window and aisle bulkhead seats, when we were boarding the called our name and told us one of the tray table and arm rests was broken and they had to move our seats 😞 We ended up in "4" part of the configuration a couple rows back but we had the whole row to ourselves 🙂 The flight had over 100 empty seats so they actually had to move peoples seats from the middle of the plane to the back as we were nose heavy they said, weird.
