BTW:  That question is for those who think shorts in the MDR or elsewhere is abhorrent.

Compare to the lady in the chains, totally acceptable. Nothing wrong with his outfit. The only thing I can say is his pants are a little short. LOL

  2. May I enter the MDR or buffet without shoes or footwear?

May I be allowed to put my feet on a table? With our without footwear?

Have experienced this on ships and ship staff would see it and not say a word. These are very serious issues.

Tank tops are no-nos. What about ladies who are in a string bathing suit? Or topless on the pool deck?

We knew a month ago about the 30 pinns limit and that diamonds cant be in diamond lounge during happy hour. It's been posted in the welcome aboard banner for a while.

Moving our lunch we didnt know until we had access to our cabins and read the invites.

I've already said the lunch for D+ was fabulous. Radiance had been my only other great lunch, a fillet. Even the man next to me said best steak on rcl hes ever had. This time was fillet mignon. 5 of the 6 of us had it and 5 out of 5 of us said fabulous. Everyone's was cooked perfect. Tender. I'm in the fabulous lunch camp. It was wonderful. One lady got ravioli because she went to chops the night before and order rib eye which she said was all fat, not good. So she was afraid to order the steak and missed out. Chops didnt touch this steak it was so good. Loyalty guy said they must have found some special distributor. He heard so many raving reviews.

Chops would be a let down after this lunch. So I'm working izumi and wonderland around .. theynsaid on harmony, unlike allure I can move my 2nd boho night.

The staff has been maybe the best I've ever had. Allure I had issues with searing almost 4 out of 4 times. The mdr floor manager this time obviously cares about people. Nothing but praise.

I'm just saying some of us like to plan ahead. If you dont that's you, not me. But yes the lunch with perfectly cooked fillet mignon. I'm a harmony fan.

Plan ahead. I only took 9 cruises this year on 4 different cruise lines.

So, yes I do plan ahead.

However, you can not plan ahead for every possible condition. What about those passengers that had Gty cabins sailing out of Australia.

They got to the port and only 2 people out of 13 were allowed on board due to no empty cabins?

I'm glad you got to go to the luncheon and it was good.

Well I disagree if it affects MY cruise. I'm a lowly D+. Many assumed our cheers with a officer was lunch, day 3 and booked restaurants accordingly. They moved us mere D+ to day 2, saying too many pinnacles to feed lunch. We had to scramble to move our bookings. Now I have pay restaurants lunch 3, assuming this will be the same next 2 weeks.

If it affects my time wasted to rebook stuff .. it matters to me. I also then changed my mind about chops night 2, if I just had a wonderful steak for lunch the same day.

If it doesnt matter to YOU great, let those who have been affected this week talk and dont dismiss our feedback saying WE are the ones with the problem. Dont tell others how we should feel. I love harmony just a few things have been a bother.

Well I am Diamond +, too. There is always one time or condition that may surface to create a change to something for someone. How, if in any way, did knowing the number of Pins on the ship, help you before the staff made the decision to move the lunch from one day to the other? That was just a time more Pins went on your cruise. Should RCI limit the number of Pins, D+, D, etc.?

    SMH, your telling me:

'Dont tell others how we should feel. I love harmony just a few things have been a bother.'

And then you have the right to tell me just what you said to me. LOL Let it go, you still got your free lunch. Was it good?

  5. I have to SMH at how we as cruisers, fellow passengers & adults come on this forum and try to degrade one another.

Regardless, if you are Pin or a First Time Cruiser you all deserve respect.

Why chastise someone who is top tier because they wear a pin they earned?

Why look down on someone who has no knowledge or experience in Cruising.

We should all respect and help each other on this forum to ensure we all get the most out of our cruise. Does it matter if we are in an Inside Cabin or Suite? Did it matter if you can go into the Crown or Suite Lounge?

Think about it. We are on a cruise. We are sharing some moments in life that many people will never experience.

We are meeting people around the world, different nationalities, making new friends and will never forget those days on that cruise.

HAPPY CRUISING! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

  6. As we have seen on these postings. No one is trying to tell anyone which cruise line is the best.

They are only proving their opinion or what they experienced and like.

If a person only cruises one cruise line, they are missing out on what others have to offer. Some people are afraid to try something different.

We cruise RCI, CELEBRITY, MSC, NCL & PRINCESS. Have done HAL in the past. We have no favorite line not are cheerleaders for any one.

They all have their pluses & minuses. Just pick what you like or will feel comfortable with.

    HAPPY CRUISING!

For me, Princess is a cut above Celebrity in food and entertainment and pretty equal to Celebrity in ships and crew.

Totally disagree. Just got off of Enchanted 22 days.

Entertainment had the same couple as main show 3 nights of first 5 nights. Three production shows shown 2x in 22 days.

    Food very subjective! About equal.

One big Princess advantage is Princess Plus pkgs. They include drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities, ±.

Celebrity no long includes gratuities and more per day than Princess.

Princess Speciality Restaurants only $39. Celebrity $70+.

Those are my opinions on both lines.

It is working great on my Samsung Galaxy S21 currently on the Enchanted Princess!

Worked on Enchanted in Med on S20 Ulta & Note 10 Lite.

The people who work on Princess Ships in IT are not well versed in IT. Many times they don't give correct info to guests.

I find it hard to believe that PCL cannot design an ap that does not require the latest version of an android.  This is particularly true when RCL has an ap that does work on older androids and is more robust than PCL's version.  So now I had to shell out more to get an S23 with 512 gb to run this "wonderful" ap.  Incidentally it does work on this version after shelling out $$$.

What Android phone models do not run the Princess Medallion?

Have you looked at the functionality of RCIs WOW Band? Very limited and you still use a Cruise Card.

    The WOW Band cost $9.95.

There is a big discussion on RCI CC about the WOW Band.

The Princess Medallion far exceeds the WOW Band in functionality, price, etc.

I have four scheduled NCL cruises.  For each cruise, the cost of a two-meal specialty restaurant upgrade is $82.80, including the 20% service charge.  That’s a good deal cheaper than  two dinners in a decent restaurant in my small-city hometown (Dayton, OH).

$99.60 for 2 is cheaper than a decent restaurant in Dayton, OH?

    Prices must be .........

If you cut it very carefully, yes, it should fit. I would not assume many others would attempt such a thing (folks using a Wow band are already a small minority on the ship).

Thank you for your response and info. I greatly appreciate your time!

I used a medallion on Princess.

1.It allowed you to embark the ship without going to a desk in port on day 1 to get a cruise card. Never got a cruise card.

    2. You used it to get on and off the ship all the time.

    3. You could find another person in your party location on the ship.

    4. Used to charge your purchases without you signing any paper. Waiters could see on their tablets a picture of you when they took your order and delivered it. Safety! You didn't have to take your medallion out.

    5. Unlocked your cabin door without you taking it out or tapping your door.

At first I was not sure I like it. But after using it for 22 days in the Med, I think it is easy to use, has a lot of functionality & sold on it.

As Top Tier on Princess it was free, mailed to us free and provided us a lanyard free! We received it before the cruise and allowed us to get right on the ship.

People could buy bracelets, bands, etc., to place the medallion in. I used my Air Tags and it got perfectly.

How this may help others and even have RCI reprogram the functionality of the WOW Band!

    Happy Cruising!

Not to be splitting hairs...but I will anyway.  😉

You are missing a few things:

    Bigger balcony discount

Flexible early check in time at terminal

Priority embarkation and suites/Pinnacle waiting area

    Escorted departure

    25.00 coupon for Specialty restaurants

Free milestone balcony cruises (I have my second one bod already) then the 3rd being a free JS

3 free bottles of wine (from Pinnacle choice list)

Cheers with an officer Pinnacle lunch

    Priority seating at shows/events

These are things that just happen when you love to cruise...and enjoy cruising a lot.  If RCI wants to toss me some freebies...I sure won't turn them down.  And indeed...the free unlimited internet is my favorite.  😉

To be honest, some of those perks are meaning less.

    Some are fluf.

We have over 150 cruises on other cruise lines. Never dedicated to one. No one line has it all.

Thank you for explaining your perks.

On one cruise lines we are  the Most Traveled Passengers group and have lunch with the Captain.

    Happy Cruising!
