  1. P&O Australia have a Bianco party. Never seen it on P&O UK. Sounds fun though…
  2. My view is if there is a dress code in a particular restaurant/venue then it should be adhered too and enforced. Unfortunately neither are. Many people are quick to say I don’t care what people wear, it doesn’t bother me or affect my holiday, whilst true, they probably would be the first to complain when someone starts smoking in the crows nest or on the balcony next door, but it’s the same thing, a rule that is either enforced or not. Is it ok to bring your €3 booze bought ashore to drink in the MDR or bar ? It’s like a toddler, the more you let them push the boundaries the further they will go ….
  3. MDR can’t be pre booked on Iona. When we were last on board pre booking was available to book on the app for early times, I think 17.15- 18.00. Totally defeating the “ freedom dining” ideal. Might just of well have an early sitting. IMO of course !
  4. We were on Ventura the first week in October. No afternoon tea in the MDR. The ship seemed very understaffed, seemed to be a shortage of waiters in the bars. Dinner service (late sitting ) was excellent but breakfast in the MDR was a shambles, long queues, long wait for food. A totally different experience to Iona in March.
  5. We had a missed port on our Iona cruise in March, because they swapped Cadiz for Fuerteventura didn’t think to get a letter from reception. Only realised could still claim when returned home, contacted them through messenger on the 08/04 letter emailed back on 15/04. Couldn’t fault P&O. Now the time it took the insurance company to pay out…….we’ll that’s a different matter !.
  6. Celebration night is what P&O now call gala night, usually the first formal night of the cruise. Captains welcome speech, free glass of bubbly etc.
