Was Movies Under the Stars available or was it too cold? If yes, do you know the titles? We sail on the Ruby in October and I’ve been trying to compile a list of movies playing

Sorry it’s the Ruby. We’re 37 days out and was surprised when I checked today and saw the net price.

Just saw that the MedallionNet has been fixed and now reflecting $75 for my 15 night cruise. Before I jump on it, do you get an email confirmation of your purchase?

Just got off the phone with Discount Hawaii Car rental company who we've used multiple times for Hawaii car rentals. Was told that only Budget/Avis is running one shuttle in Hilo from the cruise port out to the airport, so you might be spending valuable cruise time waiting for that one shuttle. Shuttles have not resumed yet in Kauai due to under staffing. We have a cars reserved in both Hilo and Kauai. Now plan to look up cost for taxis to both airports and also cost of an Uber. She also mentioned that all rental car companies are short staffed so once you get to the airport be patient and prepared to wait. Do you know if the car rental shuttles are running to the cruise dock or are you planning on a taxi/Uber to the airport?

We haven't sailed since 2019, are there no tables in the cabins? What happened to the small glass table that room delivery staff would place your delivery tray on? If no table where do they place it? We usually sail in inside or ocean view if that makes any difference

We dont sail until October so I'm going to give it another few weeks and see if the problem is resolved before I sit on hold with Princess. Thanks for the tip on the app thread, I will check it out.

Thank you Astro Flyer...as sad as it is to hear problems again with the internet, I was sure I did something wrong on the medallion. I would not be surprised if Princess went back to giving the 50% off once onboard as OBC. Essentially you then you paid the full amount and forced to spend the credit on board. More money for Princess.

Did the cost of the internet access go up? I worked my way through all the steps on medallion class and now in the green lane. Thought I would finish up and pre purchase the internet plan for the entire 15 day cruise to Hawaii on the Ruby. The total cost is showing as $149.85 which equals to 9.99 per day for one device. We are platinum so I was expecting a daily charge of $5 and a total pre purchase price of $75. When I open the medallion class it shows my photo and green lane status. Doesn’t it recognize your cruising level? I thought it might help if I log out and log back in to see if that fixes it but can’t find the log out button. Or can you not purchase internet at the reduced rate? Any help is appreciated . Hope I don’t have to call Princess

We did the 28 day with Bora Bora in March 2019 on the Star Princess. My all time favorite cruise! We had a very active roll-call, met some super nice people and played games (LCR) in the afternoon on sea days. I am just thrilled that Princess has found a replacement for Bora Bora and would love to visit Fiji. We were booked on the 28 day itinerary for March 2023 but have since cancelled. I'm ready to book April of 2024 but sadly out of FCD. Does Princess typically put these new dates on sale as soon as they come out? We dont have a cruise scheduled until this October to purchase more.

If you can make it to Poipu beach I highly recommend it. Nice beach and good snorkeling. You can rent chairs, umbrella and snorkel gear from Boss Frogs located inside the Beach House Restaurant. if you feel like that’s too difficult time wise, Kalapaki Beach is very close to where you dock. Don’t know about the snorkeling there but you can rent chairs, umbrella at a nearby beach shack. Dukes restaurant is located right there on the beach for a wonderful lunch and don’t forget to try their famous Hula Pie dessert.

Can someone tell me if line dancing classes were given on the Ruby Princess? And if so, did you have to wear a mask?

Relieved to hear again that taxis were available at the port in Hilo and also in Kauai. Our ports are Kona, Hilo, Honolulu, Kauai. We have cars reserved for Hilo and Kauai, but the last time I contacted the car rental agency they were still not running shuttles to the port, so I'm happy to hear that taxis are available. Probably speed the car rental process up a bit.

Thanks for the tip, I will definitely look all round for taxis. Happy to hear they were waiting and available.

For those of you that cruised to Hawaii this past January, February and March, did you happen to notice if taxis were waiting at the port? Specially Hilo and Kauai? It's my understanding that rental car companies are still not providing their shuttles to the airport to pick up rental cars. So a taxi or calling a Uber becomes necessary. I hope this post doesnt get moved to the Hawaii ports page, there is very little action/responses there.
