  1. Hi, We have booked a private trip in Havana with Havana Tours and we are meeting at 9.30 for 3 hour ride in an open top car and then a beach transfer, the meeting point is not far from the port. Molly
  2. We have not heard anything yet and we fly on the 7th😪
  3. I laminate ours, which is great, if you have access to a laminator!!😁 Molly
  4. Barbados, St Vincent, Antigua, Dominica (not a lot to see, so a trip is best) Martinique (as Dominica) St Lucia and Grenada are all ports where you can get off, there are loads of taxis that do trips and are loads cheaper than the cruise ones. We always book trips that leave early and so gives us plenty of time to get back. Molly
  5. As far as I am aware scissors can only be taken in hold luggage. The luggage labels can be used on hold or hand luggage. Molly
  6. Well, Travis 6 and Cliffholl55, it looks as if we are going to have the ship to ourselves😁. See you on board Molly
  7. The art teacher at my senior school used to call me Molly Malone and sometimes sing the song (I hated it)😲
  8. A girl in our class was called Pauline Trumper😁, she did have a few nicknames😲
  9. Were there not problems with the infinity pools contents splashing into the aft suites or was it just aft balconies? I know I read something on this forum a while back, but I might be doing a H with my recollections!! Molly
  10. I read this forum most days but don't post much. I am really sorry to hear about Sarah' health problems and wish her all the best. You and Pauline sound like the best surrogate parents ever and I am sure with your faith and general outlook on life she will have the best ever love and care. Molly
  11. We too have mainly cruised on P&O and have enjoyed them all, but in 2020 we decided to try a Marella Caribbean cruise on Discovery and really enjoyed it. As Kruzseeka said, the service and entertainment were far superior and I must admit it was nice to be on a small ship. (my all time favourite cruise and ship was Caribbean and Amazon on Adonia in 2015🙂) So when we were looking for this year we again have booked Marella on Discovery 2 as the ports, except 1, are all new for us, whereas P&O ports have not really changed since our first cruise in 2010. We will still sail with P&O if the price and itinerary are right. Molly
  12. Hello Michelle, We had our first trip to Madeira last November and also did the cable car and toboggan trip, it was great fun. If you can, go on the 1st trip, 9am I think, as the queues build up pretty quickly at the cable car and toboggan. Our guide was lovely as was the island, I am sure you will love it. Molly
  13. We have ours through NatWest and it is the same as the Nationwide one (UK Insurance) and our breakdown cover is now with the AA - previously Green Flag. Molly
  14. Hi Travis26, This is our 2nd cruise to the Caribbean with Marella but all new ports. We have cruised many times with P&O but their itinerary very rarely has any new ports, which is the main reason we changed to Marella. We have booked a couple of trips - Dunns River Falls and Mayan ruins with Marella. I have also booked a private car tour for Havana. All the other islands we will do what we normally do and get off the ship and see what local taxis offer for tours or beach transfers. I will be researching what is on offer and if I find anything interesting I will let you know. Molly
  15. Not sure, I know we did when we sailed between covid lockdowns, but I can't remember filling one in prior to that (2019). Then again I can't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday😁
  16. Hi Gem, No visas or health questionnaires needed now (thank goodness)🙂. Also, unless you want to, there is no need to book trips, all islands are very easy to DIY. Molly
  17. Iona only had one per week when we sailed on her in November, Arvia is the same, but all the others have two.
  18. Please accept our condolences for your sad loss xx Molly & Chris
  19. Oh Michelle that is dreadful, I bet you and your family are worried sick. Hopefully your Grandson gets his antibiotics today and makes a quick recovery. Molly
  20. Anyone else on this cruise? We fly out of Birmingham. This is our 2nd Marella cruise and are really looking forward to it. Just research the ports and what is on offer. Although we have been on 14 Caribbean cruises (mostly P&O) many of the ports are new to us. Any tips would be gratefully received😊 Molly
  21. Thanks Alison and thanks for the info regarding currency. It is our first time to Cuba and looking forward to it. Did you pre-book the classic car ride with Marella or go private? Molly
