  1. Thanks, Greg, for another great Live. It’s always fun following along. I especially enjoyed the history behind the Curaçao Liqueur.  And, thank you for all the great ever-changing “funnel” photos.  I asked you what they were called a few years ago, and I’ve loved them ever since.  I got to see them in person on the Horizon in November, 2021, and my phone is filled with their photos. So beautiful. Have a safe trip home.

There was a citgo right by the port.

Yep, almost got hit by a tour bus there.  I was trying to decide if I should cross the street there or walk a little further down the street. Because of the curve in the road, I thought maybe I’d be able to see cars coming around that curve better further along. Just then a bus came flying around that curve and straight into the gas station to fill up. I jumped out of the way. Whew!

Oh, I guess I didn't realize there used to be a bar in the casino. Are they going to make all of Carnivals ship casino's without a bar now? I hope they realize people will still go down there and smoke whether there's a bar or not. I've seen it. I don't think they have enough employees to monitor just the smoking people not gambling. It's on every ship.

Just off the Carnival Magic, and there’s a bar in the non-smoking casino annex on deck 4 and also in the larger smoking casino on deck 5. Maybe you should plan your next cruise on the Magic.

I didn't get much rest last night...you see for some reason our balcony door was whistling all night. You could hear the wind blowing right into the room and I would wake up to this whistling sound and it sure wasn't a "hey good looking" whistle either.

The wind was really blowing so hard one night that it was rattling the balcony door and seemed to blow right through the cabin and rattled the cabin door.  I had to get up and put in my earplugs. A couple of days later when the wind was blowing and rattling the balcony door again, I got up and checked the door and saw that the handle was at a slight angle.  When I straightened it to be horizontal, the rattling stopped.

So now I've seen whales and dolphins and my life was complete! Just saying...

If I remember correctly, in one of your reviews you mentioned never spotting whales or flying fish, while other people would mention seeing them all the time.  Well, I had someone constantly telling me about seeing flying fish, and I finally saw them on this cruise.  Pretty cool.

Ain't nobody want to be in Detroit after dark...

Ballpark area is probably the safest area in Detroit - lots of police presence and avid fans.  The city is not what it was ten years ago. Ready to show off for the NFL Draft.

  5. So, I watched part three of the 9-1-1 tv show about a cruise ship sinking.  I never watched this program when it was on CBS. Is this supposed to be a comedy? For example, husband to wife: Honey, I never realized how strong you are….you had s&x with a much younger man….you could have had a heart attack (if not exact, close). 😳

I’ve never watched this show before but today it seems to be about a cruise ship sinking. A family was in their room putting on life jackets and the mom says “where is our mustard station.” The dad says “I wasn’t paying attention.”

I guess it’s a new show to ABC. They hooked me in the promos about a sinking cruise ship, so I watched the first two episodes.  Tonight was the last of three parts.  I’ll watch tomorrow (I record most shows so that I can FF through commercials). Then, I’ll remove the record option.  Bad acting, bad writing.

  7. @taznremmy I haven’t sailed NCL in a few years, but one tip I can give you is upon boarding you will be encouraged by staff to head upstairs to the buffet for lunch. Ignore them.  Head down to deck six and the Versailles main dining room to enjoy a civilized sit-down lunch. You can also order your first cocktail of the cruise here to enjoy with your lunch. I believe lunch is served from noon until two.

We had one in our building once. It was caught using an old-fashioned spring trap baited with peanut butter. Something to try in your office next time, if no one else seems to care.

Yep, had one under my kitchen sink a couple of months ago.  I bought a couple of the new fancy traps.  Didn’t work.  Went and bought a couple of the old-fashioned wooden spring traps. Set it with peanut butter and caught it in less than a half hour.

Really irritating as I cry when I get mad, which makes it harder to get my point across.  I cry just thinking about sad things.  Don't get me started on Hallmark movies....

Oh, can I relate.  I’m the same way. I cry when I’m sad, happy, angry, irritated, retelling a story, thanking someone and on and on.  I once made a visit to the funeral home when a work acquaintance had died.  Trying to tell the wife I was sorry to learn of his passing was an ordeal. I was sobbing and remember her and her daughter looking at me wondering if there was a closer relationship.  There wasn’t.
