We too had the same problem. The clerical errors are the downside of going with Azamara as they seem to create difficulties and confusion for their loyal guests.

We are Discoverers in a CC suite. Can we use our free wifi minutes towards an Essentials package?
-
we loved sparkling trio on a recent cruise and wonder who will be performing on Quest in a few weeks time when we get on in Athens

Bordeaux is an excellent port and with the tram on the quayside a place to explore. We went into the vineyards and to the last town on the tram line for a local lunch
-
we did this cruise last year when it sailed from Southampton and enjoyed. The weather was changeable and sometimes a little rough which meant changing ports on the approach to them but each change was fun and an experience and handled well.
In June we boarded in Greenwich and sailed to the Baltic an easy 2 hour train trip to London and the boarding was smooth and simple.
Happy sailing

We went to there on the cruise last year and found it interesting. On a very wet day we took a taxi to.St Jean de Luz and a few euro bus trip back to the **** via Biarritz. The mooring was commercial but the tiwn and surroundings fun.

We have found the 5 or 6 computers on board give you the opportunity to pick up emails, check and print off reports but I would not recommend them fir preparing work as often people are waiting to use the facilities and based in a cirner of the living room with bridge lessons at tge next tables and bar open it would not be easy.

Durres Albania there was no shuttle and you could walk through a working port area on to the street. You had to be very careful.
If it is anything more than a very easy walking distance a shuttle has been available on all 11 or 12 cruises we have taken.

In Bordeaux thectram stop was at the bottom of the gang way. We took a tram to a small town at the end of the lin through vine yards one day.
In Oporto you were dropped centrally and we wandered around eventually after lunch getting a cab back to the ship so we did not have to retrace our steps.

we plan to have a night in Jerusalem and also leave early rather than have a long wait in Dubai for a flight home
-
We checked in and then went into Greenwich to meet our son and explore. We had dinner and returned to the ship for some sleep! Tenders ran until 3 30 or even later

I would like an update on who will be on board on 13 October cruise from Athens as it doesnt appear to be correct.
-
There is a local bus to Cavtat which is fun too and quicker. Some excellent restaurants
Not as busy as Dubrovnik and worth a visit.
-
There wasnt a speaker on football.
One was great about Russ8an artifacts etc

A number of private tour operators offer the option following the drive from the ship. Just wondered if anyone had seen them whilst there
-
Has anyone used this on a private trip?
There are so many places on the cruise on October that are must see places that we have been considering this and would appreciate your thoughts

We are Discoverers and applied for an upgrade from Balcony to CC recently. We did not get it but were miffed when chatting to fellow cruisers on their first Azamara cruise they had been up graded on embarkation.

We left Journey on 29th but when we soent 3 days in St Petersburg earlier that week we were docked at the English Embankment in the heart of the city and not at the cruise port and the taff were expecting the same mooring. Walking distance to the sights of the city.
-
We would mainly praise the cruise. Embarkation was fine. Could not attend cruise critic get together as plans in Greenwich.
Early arrival in Antwerp was a bonus and docking was great. Almost in the main square.
Amsterdam was very busy but close to central station and the hop on hop off canal.boat.
The Kiel canal was a fiasco! Shore excursions stopped. The lock has been a problem all year!!!!! We moored in the mouth for many hours and because of poor weather many people were impatient.
We arrived late in Copenhagen and an extension until midnight doesnt really compensate.
Tallinn is lovely but expanding very quickly. In the last 3 years there has been a lot of development and many cranes apparent on building sites.
St Petersburg is a treat. Independent travellers were last off on the first day but by 10 am we were off a d had been able to relax while the gangway was sorted and immigration set up. The tour operators were aware of the rule.
Helsinki was fun and we did a 2 hour cruise round the harbour.
The food in Discoveries has inproved and staff are great. There seemed to be less officers around to chat. Riveria Sound were good and the pianist. Football fans were well looked after. Discoverers and above was held on a windy deck 11 as we departed St Petersburg and not a good venue.
3 more booked so we must be satisfied!

We fail to understand why so many postcards are on sake when stamps and post boxes are rare. Just returned from baltic and only cards posted in Antwerp have arrived in UK. Gave up on stamps in a couple of ports!!!!!!
-
Was good for us. Train to Euston. Easy Taxi journey at reasonable price. Checked onto clipper within 10 minutes and in ship.in 20! Great!!!!!
-
Several queues emerged for local taxis and so while some people patiently waited their turn others just leapt in the next cab which arrived and were rude to staff who were trying to police the line fairly.
The recurring tonic question! Anyone on Journey now?
in Azamara

Sparkling water is another complaint. It is virtually still and waiters on Quest until 31 October frequently brought us Schweppes soda water which atvleast has a fizz!!!
