In September the shuttle bus dropped you by the museum. The Azamazing evening was on the city and so we stayed in town and walked to the venue rather than travel backwards and forwards. A great city to explore and fantastic Basque food

The way in which these surveys are sent to cruisers always seems strange. We have sailed at least 12 times and never seem to be recipients.

My husband has hearing loss and he finds the MDR difficult to cope with because of the level of background noise. In the speciality restaurants the sound level is much lower and so we can actually chat to each other. The staff are great and will even get you something from the MDR if you want it.

we were recently advided that we had to get a paper visa because going into more than one port
-
In the UK that is the current offer but the price has risen! Also includes other perks

We have been on deck 8 at least a dozen times with 3 more booked. A little noise briefly after 7 am but otherwise nothing .
We have had CC and verandah cabins on both sides of the ships.

We like the informality. We don't want to dress up for dinner. We enjoy the lectures although on a recent trip there were none and we made comment on our review.

If the time you had was as great as your photos, you did just fine. We have a 21-month wait. I hope late October isn't too hot there, but I can't go January through April because of work.
We travelled last November /December and the heat wasn't a problem. We found it fine away long as you had a hat and protection against the sun.

In some ports just wandering around as a couple or catching local transport is more fun than an excursion. If you are well.prepared and adventurous you can do your own thing cheaply. Great itinerary. Done it more than once on Azamara and AmalfI is fabulous and local bus takes you to Ravello

We stayed at the Radisson Blu at the end of a Baltic cruise. An excellent choice. You will love it. Convenient for centre of the city and if you want to explore on a train the station is very close. Uppsala was a fabulous town to visit.

We are doing that trip in 2018 too and would live to hear more :)

We were docked last year in centre of the city it was so convenient and you could walk into town or meet a private tour guide or friend.
Excellent location

Radisson as suggested in Stockholm 2 as a dream at the end of our baltivlc trip.
Earlier this year we stayed at the Phoenix in Copenhagen and convenient for Nyhavn etc on foot. Two years ago stayed at the Kong but found it quite good but less convenient for the sights.

I suggested one would be helpful in the survey part way through the cruise and within a couple of hours it had been put up.

we bought them for our trip from the Post Office
No problem - received them over night

We have been told by the friends we are meeting in Bangkok that the Grand Palace is closed indefinitely and so we will be reconsidering our plans. The tourist resorts appear to be operating with little difference but we have been advised that mourning attire might be necessary.

Did this trip a couple of years ago as part of a b2b and would thoroughly recommend the ports and the Venice trip and all the other ports.

We have been to dulles on azamara. We throughly enjoyed the experience of wandering around the town. We hired a taxi and went to tirana it was a fascintating day there were some great buildings. As long as you expect it to be diferent than most ports and consider it to be an adventure it is safe and cheap.

we too are wondering what to do and the alternative ports might be places we have already visited - we wanted to explore some where new as well as spend a week or so in Istanbul.
We hope that Azamara give some guidance early so that we can look at alternative cruises with them while there is still accommodation available and we can re-schedule leave etc. -
We are frequent cruisers on Azamara and have booked a trip on Quest in August and wanted several days in Istanbul but are we likely to be able to visit the ports in the Crimea, Russia and Georgia and if not where would the alternatives be? We have visited the area on the other side of Istanbul so don't want to re-visit that this year.
Should we be looking at another area to explore.
In the past our plans to visit Egypt were changed and even going in to Israel was problematic and we missed Ashdod.

The restaurant in the museum is excellent. Our son lived in Bilbao for a year and we visited but there are many cafes and restaurants a stroll away in the old town. You will have a good time.
