Hard to say "historically" as a shut downs aren't that common...only 10 total, and 3 since the TSA was created. Lots of near misses, but only those few actual shut downs. Do you have stats on sick call rates during shutdowns?
I read about it in news articles

Honestly there's a fair bit to see and do just walking around

First of all, you won't be dealing with any TSA employees at the port. At an airport, yes, but not at the port. As you are not flying, you won't be interacting with TSA.
Secondly, CBP and TSA are "mandated" employees. They work during shutdowns.
They're mandated however historically during a shutdown they call in sick in substantially greater numbers so while they won't be shut down they are likely to be understaffed so a longer line at customs and delayed embarking/debarking are possible

I guess libraries don't generate enough revenue, I remember the Breeze had a self service wine station in theirs that no one seemed to use but most seem to have no way of generating revenue short of being something folks like, I don't think anyone will choose not to book because of no library but I will miss them if they go

Outlet extender, it prevents arguments with my cabin mates

Don't see how it impacts my cruise. As long as they're adhering to regulations I don't need all the details

I took Uber back in December after looking into other options. The best deal is to catch a free shuttle to a nearby hotel and then have a prescheduled pick up there

Your Uber plan is solid, book ahead to save more
