  1. 21 days on the Viva and not one dinner at Hudson's, the first or second night we went there, very long line, turned around and went to the Commodore, and was seated within minutes.
  2. I guess it's now official that the Aqua floated out, only took NCL about a week to add music. https://fb.watch/rR0kGJLS8Y/
  3. Pearl docked and wet outside. The weather for the Prima looks better, keep some extra weight in those pockets.
  4. My spies have reported that change is in the air with the Aqua, she is already out of the dry dock, and by some of the comments that have been floating around there is a good chance of several sailings before the March TA, of course, there is always those pesky supply chain issues that could slow things down. Reported sightings of sections of #4 being moved into place.
  5. https://www.tannlaeknavaktin.is/index.php/in-english here is one of many found in Reykjavik but the only one that has a page in English, looking at the map not too far from the Art Museum
  6. But if the prices were the same, which they will never be, I would choose the Prima, with better cabins, dining venues, and more entertainment options.
  7. allowing it to sail between US ports without a foreign port. IIRC, one of the Senators from Hawaii was instrumental in getting them this waiver. I thought they could reflag the ship, I'm sure it isn't cheap but keeping the POA afloat isn't cheap.
  8. I still can't understand why they continue to sail North on the Prima, the ship, crew, and passengers would be better served with a Southern route. Our Southern TA on the Viva last November was fantastic, we even went into the infinity pool. The Prima would be a great replacement ship for the aging POA in Hawaii. I suspect our Aqua TA will be similar to the first Prima TA but at least it's only seven days.
  9. Problems with seating for Onda? Blame the weather, the booking system includes outdoor seating and assumes the weather is prefect everyday.
  10. Indulge food hall on the Viva is even better than the Prima, removal of the second Starbucks and relocation of one of the Food trucks allows for more seating and better traffic flow thru Indulge. Weather update, expect more of the same. No mention of raining men inside the ship.
  11. Ok, I'll be the one to ask, did you bring a umbrella? The utilization of the theater on the Prima and Viva is one of things that I enjoyed the most. I hate it when on a Away ship the Atrium is used for those types of shows, blocking passage thru the Atrium, unable to find a seat up in the Local and not being able to see the actual show. Jim
  12. Looks like a normal cruise in the North Atlantic next day of two. Gale warnings for the next 24 hrs but waves heights should be around 10ft. Expect all the outdoor areas to be closed, should be real cozy inside.
  13. @mking8288 Great turnout for the M&G, our last two were less than 30% attendance. On the Viva TA, I offered to run a slot pull and got zero responses, pub crawls are almost impossible since the bartenders are limited on what they have in stock. Tomorrow forecast for Halifax ETA for Halifax is 0830 as per cruise tracker
  14. Good Morning Prima, current track slightly east of planned route ( whales ? ), steady pace at 21 knots. Halifax a balmy 39 degrees this morning, Viking Polaris passing by Port side. @dexddd Enjoyed watching them assemble the gangway in Halifax under the careful eye of NCL and how the pieces didn't fit so they to modify that one piece
  15. Next visit to Onda try the Filet Mignon, it was some much better than Cagney's.
  16. But who said it first? First time for me was the Three Stooges, then Abbott and Costello and then Lucy. Growing up I didn't have a choice watching TV, a much simpler time. Back to the cruise, did they start boarding yet?
  17. A very early Bon Voyage to @mking8288 , @Sugar Magnolia , @Travelicious , @Fogfog and many other fellow CCer's that will be on this cruise. Wishing fair seas, lot's of laughs and fond memories. Hoping one day you can look back at this cruise and say " this one time at band camp ". A very strange yellow orb is in the sky, it's time to take the Challenger out and clear out those the cobwebs. Jim
  18. " Slowly I turn step by step ", if you remember that line then you are as old as I am, nyuk nyuk nyuk
  19. https://hydrostonemarket.ca/eateries/ - if you have time to stop at just one then Julien’s Patisserie Bakery & Café should be the stop, I gained 5llbs just from the aroma of all the baked goods.
  20. Looking for another option for Halifax? Take the Hop on / off bus and get off at stop #8, Hydrostone district. We found several great restaurants in that area along with plenty of shopping, Carol even found a shoe store there.
  21. Aqua being towed out of the dry dock, lot's of work to yet to be completed by the looks of the scaffolding still mounted on the ship. @FreestyleNovice Tight schedule between the Aqua and Leo #4, makes me wonder if there will be a delay for #4 or the Aqua will be completed sooner.
