  1. I deduced to not book anything at all for Mykonos…if we wander, we will and if we feel inclined to just rest on the ship that’s ok too! I did reserve a 4 hour Santorini private tour with a local! So I love that we can now find a few highlights on our own:)
  2. We are completely playing Kusadasi by ear! It’s. 6:30AM- Noon stop so as long as we are rested we do plan to walk off the ship and wander a bit. We just don’t have any “plans” per se. From what I’ve read, that port is fairly easy to DIY? Thanks for your insight! I’ve heard it’s lovely!
  3. We just got the notice today for June 19th Greek Isles on the Jade. Bid between low/medium for club suite.
  4. After some reflection we think the “down time” will indeed me the Mykonos day and we can stroll and hit a cafe.
  5. Traditionally the third party CAN be local clinic, pharmacy drive through or a virtual proctored test.
  6. We are headed out this Sunday and I can snag a picture of whatever sign is posted regarding non alcoholic drink access, etc. it won’t necessarily be the same later this year but can clarify your question for now if that helps?
  7. Great update and appreciated. We leave this Sunday on the Jade for our first ever Greecebitinerary. I’m hoping that the “less crowded” continues a bit! Did you post anywhere about excursions you enjoyed? I’d love to look.
  8. A crap ton of various sized ziploc bags, glow bracelets/necklaces because we either let the kids use them when they are w/us or I use them as floor nightlights to prevent toe stubbing. I can’t sleep with normal brightness of nightlight
  9. Help! I’ve gone from “take it easy and don’t book All of the things!” To finding myself almost having something booked on every day of our cruise. We have a heavy itinerary in Athens pre-cruise and my tentative plan is below. I’d appreciate ANY insight or suggestions regarding which island would be the better wine tour if I decide to scale back and stay ON the ship one port. mykonos date and times in port : Wednesday June 22, 7-4 *considering a 2 hour tour/tasting that we need to book a taxi for. Santorini date and times in port: Saturday June 25, 12:30-9:30 I haven’t decided but have seen many wine tour offerings *first time here - we love water, local tours, beach, relaxation and some activity but we aren’t extremely active. We prefer a balance of tours, with culture, sightseeing and relaxation. While we want to see as much as possible, we’ve learned that we need some down time* ———————————————— the rest of our plans, I think. I’m solid on my Rhodes excursion. The others are getting firmed up tomorrow. sunday: leave Athens Monday: split itinerary between Kusadasi and Patmos. Zero plans. Tuesday: Rhodes 8-6 booking a 6 hour boat excursion on the Romanticka visiting 3 bays, swim, lunch etc. Wednesday: 7-4 Mykonos *on the fence might stay on ship based on advice above Thursday: Argostoli 10-6 visiting the caves/lakes and a stop at beach Friday: Corfu 7-3 tour with local product tasting Saturday: Santorini 12:30-9:30 *on the fence I SO appreciate any tips!
  10. Wow. So am I understanding this correctly-they are NOT testing us at the port in Athens this month? I’m on the 7 day Greek Isles in two weeks (also with the single half day in Turkey)….
  11. THIS!! I’m worried about Wi-Fi strength for proctored so I have a back up plan of either airport or quick pharmacy run when we disembark. I need to coordinate with a transfer company who will stop if we need to. My TA was saying she had folks on the Earlier sailing and they have even less notice.
  12. NCL hasn’t emailed me directly yet either, I’ve found that my TA gets the notices 72-ish hours before I get it directly from NCL.
  13. Your experience confirms what my TA got in an email reply when I asked her to investigate. Packages = alcohol. Otherwise no sales of alcohol in ports.
  14. 🤪 CHANGE ONLY EFFECTS THOSE WHO DISEMBARK AND NEED A TEST TO FLY BACK HOME- I’ve been watching the updates and requirements weekly over the last six months (really since Feb 2021 when. I booked) as I know they’re ever-changing. I thought we were close enough to KNOW what to expect. Apparently not. We are on a Greek Isles Cruise June 19-26 and it seems that NCL is no longer covering our test to head home as previously and consistently published bummer. I’m so glad the board have posted how easy it is to get a local test but we’d planned to head to airport right after we were off the ship. What a pain-lol! below is the email forwarded from my TA: ——————————————————————————- Date: 06/02/2022 Dear Valued Guests, On behalf of Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), thank you for your loyalty and for making us your vacation of choice. We look forward to welcoming you aboard very soon. In advance of your upcoming cruise, we want to ensure that you are aware of a change in the availability of COVID-19 tests prior to disembarkation. To best comply with local regulations, all guests disembarking who require proof of a negative COVID-19 test to return to their home country, will now have the following options: 1. Purchase an easy-to-use telemedicine kit onboard (subject to availability) 2. Visit a local clinic This latest update will be in effect for all sailings beginning June 12, 2022, and beyond. Should you need to locate a testing provider, we recommend you do so prior to beginning travel or while traveling to your cruise. For an easy-to-use online tool for locating COVID-19 testing providers around the world, please visit www.TestForTravel.com. Simply enter the city and country where you will be traveling, and the website will display locations, contact information, and testing hours. Please note, guests who have booked a post-cruise hotel or have any other travel plans after disembarking the ship and returning to their home country, can utilize the same options listed above. For additional information on our health and safety protocols, please visit www.ncl.com/sail-safe. Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to welcoming you aboard very soon. Sincerely, Norwegian Cruise Line
  15. Hello! what are people seeing out there on Non-US itineraries? If you need to fly home to the US, is there an option still to reserve a test on Saturday for the Sunday debarkation/flight home to US? I wasn’t certain if I needed to get my hands on some proctored tests and hope my Wi-Fi package works well enough to test on Saturday or if I can have NCL do it. Id appreciate any current feedback!
  16. I’m not sure what your cruise docs say from your booking…but I know we were told by our TA to follow the 72 hour test in order to get a full refund from NCL, should we end up later testing positive At the Athens pier. We were told that a negative test 72 hrs before would protect us financially. I still don’t know what to actually expect. The info keeps changing. we cruise in three weeks
  17. Ok….I’ve been wondering-did you find a replacement cushion to use it?? 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
  18. Are you in a roll call as well? Post there too. You never know if someone has one and can pack it. I forgot my cord to my machine one cruise. I was so stressed! I posted on my roll call and stressed venting moment and someone who hadn’t left his home in California packed one for me. You never know! and yes-CVS has started to carry them and I HOPE you find one. I know how awful it is to be without the pap for a week 😬
  19. Where in Athens are you planning to test? We’re sailing on the 19th and I’m thinking it’s a good idea to figure out an Athens testing option… happy sails!
  20. Hey there. We’re on the sailing after yours-please keep us all posted once you sail! mayne others who are there now can comment? On the NCL boards there are conflicting reports of whether this is true or not. I did reach out to my TA to see if she’s heard of anything or could get a live answer. I certainly hope it’s not the case. I won’t be happy with 8 ports worth of closed bars….
  21. I’m trying not to get annoyed over something that hasn’t quite been confirmed by NCL…yet I don’t know that I trust that they’ll update us in a timely manner. I’m on a Greek Isles cruise with 8 ports next month. I will NOT be happy if this is true🤪🙄🤬 Looks like I’ll be watching this topic!
  22. Gaaah! Remember when this was the primary worry😬🤦🏻‍♀️
  23. Thanks all! Good info to think about. We don’t plan to do very much shopping in our trips. Just souvenirs or coffee, dining and whatnot. I appreciate your responses and feel better about our plan.
