  1. No. You have to wait until your cabin is ready. That's why I prefer a later check-in. Signs said rooms would be ready by 1:30 p.m. I think we were able to get in a little before that.
  2. Remember when we used to get chocolates at night? No more freebies. They could at least give us multiple towel animals. I was spoiled on my first cruise. We got a towel animal every other day or so.
  3. I do think they need some fresh games. Even the World's Sexiest Man is 🤢 when the judges pick the old geezer. It's basically a pity vote. I do think people showed up to Quest with a bag of tricks, but I did enjoy it, even if just to go watch.
  4. was attacked by a shark while "on an independent shore excursion," the spokesperson told CBS News in a statement. So not on an excursion through RCI?
  5. Very sad. I guess I won't snorkel in the Bahamas. https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/american-cruise-ship-passenger-killed-by-shark-in-bahamas/ar-AA11xCVU?cvid=19f9411bffbf491887000a3ddecd57c8
  6. The one I got when I did a soda package many moons ago is metal.
  7. Why two posts? Again, we followed doctor's orders.
  8. I recently went on my first cruise after several years not cruising. On previous cruises, a game known as the Quest was offered. It was not offered on the recent cruise (Enchantment). Just wondering if it is still offered on some ships, stopped due to COVID, or not offered anymore. Thanks!
  9. I want to purchase a cruise sailing in April 2023 and another that sails in August 2023. Is there a best time to purchase? Are there sales or does RCI jack up prices before their "sales" as I have seen some post. Thanks for your help.
  10. Soda package? You get a thermos you have to cart with you everywhere.
  11. They were giving free pens for people who won trivia. Kinda dinky, but okay.
  12. If you could cancel before the cruise, you really have no grounds to complain.
  13. Icy Strait was created by the cruise lines. I went Whale Watching while there, but there's not a lot there. Sorry your cruise wasn't as planned.
  14. I don't recall seeing a Johnny Rockets. There is a coffee and ice cream shop and a Chopps. I don't eat at the specialty restaurants so I didn't search them out. This is what I remember seeing.
  15. Enchantment was giving away a free charms bracelet if you turned up at a certain time. Charms were extra, so basically it was a way to try to get you to buy charms. I remember on my first cruise they did giveaways on the first day. I won a free jewelry by the inch bracelet. On another cruise I won a refund on a shore excursion for answering a question posed during the daily cruise director video. None of that this time.
  16. My daughter tested positive after cruise. It had to be the cruise she got it from. We did not fly and she was only around me and my mother (who did not cruise). I tested negative, fortunately. She was off school a few days. She has now tested negative. She wasn't too bad as she has had vaccines and booster. We did see the doctor, but not too much they can do. I too wondered how many people tested positive. I guess it's a chance you take. Everyone has to test negative to board. I don't know if it was someone we interacted with at the port (Bermuda). We had a good time on the cruise and fortunately she wasn't too bad. I actually think she milked it a bit to get off from school.
  17. I had a Crown and Anchor issue. My mother and I didn't get our Platinum lapel pin on our last cruise. When I cruised recently, I was able to get my pin, but they wouldn't give me my mother's since she was not on the cruise. I reached out to C&A via FB and they said to have my mother call. She did and they are going to mail it to her. A lot of time spent on this. Pin isn't that big a deal, but we want it since we earned it.🚢 I was just super surprised C&A lady wouldn't give me my mother's pin, especially since she should have gotten in on her last cruise (earned cruise before that one) and we didn't. And then I didn't get an invite to the C&A reception. 👿
  18. The gym does have a water fountain. This is the only place I saw one. I wonder how hard it would be to put in a bottle refill station somewhere on the ship. Not gym. Would need to be more accessible to cruisers. A lot of people do not go to the gym.
  19. This was a big pet peeve of mine on Enchantment. The signage is clear as day. I did not see any staff telling people not to do this. One time I was waiting a while to get some lemonade and then I saw the woman was filling her water bottle so I just put my cup down anyway. I asked Guest Services where I could fill up my water bottle. It must have been the first time anyone asked. Three employees were consulted. They finally told me I could go to the fitness center or fill a cup up and then transfer to my water bottle. The water fountain in the fitness center says not to fill up water bottles. I filled my water bottle up in the WJ by putting water in a cup and transferring. I saw a couple other people do this, but most did not. In my survey, I said that the ships need water bottle filling stations. At least one.
