  1. If RCI are stuck they can always sail a ship from Dublin, Ireland since Celebrity already sails from there in the Summer. And not to be totally selfish, it means I dont have to get a flight to board a ship! Lol
  2. Interesting! Not showing on the UK & Ireland site and when checking the US site it isn't there either. I'd say there are a lot of re-deployments on the cards!
  3. We had Talita on Jewel in December and I have to say that she is THE best AM I have ever had - and that includes Tino Jackson. She is such a ball of energy, was at every single event and the banter she had with Andrea on the Morning Show was great. She totally made our trip. I believe she is married to an officer so takes the AM post to sail with him.
  4. If Royal does see the profitability of shorter cruises, then I wish they would offer more shorter AFFORDABLE cruises from Europe. This year the only one offered is over mid term break in Autumn/Fall on Anthem from Southampton and it was starting at £750 ($970) pps for 5 nights! I know that in the past RCI had issues with the shorter cruises leaving from Southampton with them becoming Booze Cruises and they withdrew the Deluxe Drinks package for sailing less than 6 nights from Southampton. However if they offered shorter sailings from Barcelona, Rome or Venice, I would be there like a shot!
  5. Random question! When there was nothing on telly at the weekend, I re-watched Dry Dock:A Cruise Ship Reborn on YouTube about Sovereign of the Seas Dry Dock in 2006(?). My question is what ever happened to Keith Williams the Cruise Director? He seemed very nice and it was a shame he didn't get to see the end of the revitalization. I see from a previous post that he had been ill but had recovered but he had not been assigned a ship...any word on what he is doing now?
  6. Just off Jewel for the Rome to Dubai Repo and the CD is Andrea Oliver. He was a bit wooden at first but his morning show with Talita the AM was great and he relaxed over the 16 nights. He took a few stargazing evenings in the middle of the Red Sea and was very informative. He will be onboard until March. Talita was amazing and was more visible around the ship. She would make a fantastic CD but I believe her husband is an officer so she travels on the same ship as him.
  7. There is 1 Majesty sailing from New Orleans in Jan 2022 showing on the UK site
  8. I asked Next Cruise onboard Jewel this afternoon about the Adventure and Odyssy Europe 2021 sailings. She said that they have no information as yet. When I told her the Adventure TA is on line but not bookable, she checked her system and it was not even showing on hers. Her advice was to just keep checking!
  9. Spoke to Andrea this evening and he will be onboard for 4 more months and Talita will be on for 2 more months ☺
  10. Currently onboard Jewel of the Seas. I will see if I can meet them and find out any contract info ☺
  11. We are on Vision March 2020 and were just about to book our flights from Ireland. After the Oasis TA cancellation, although we got a £300/$400 payment towards flights not booked through RCI, I was still out of pocket to the tune of nearly £500. This is giving me a sinking deja vu feeling 😯
  12. What is happening with San Juan? Reading reports that RCI are pulling out due to the privitization of the port
  13. I was able to book Harmony TA on Saturday morning through my TA Alex but I know a few booked on Friday night when it popped up on the UK RCI site. The pricing was a bit squ-wiff for balconies but I got a great solo deal.
  14. This is the only Empress for 2022 showing on the UK and Ireland site....ouch!!! That is my cruise budget for 2-3 years!!
