  1. Just read on a sicial media group that all the 2020 UK Independance of the Seas sailings are being cancelled! Anyone any information on this?
  2. Just off Brilliance this morning. TT (sorry no surname) from the Mediterranean was the Activities Manager. He and the Entertainment staff were very visable around the ship (more so than CD Enzo) and TT did a very good 70s party (posed for pictures afterwards) and a hilarious Quest, or as they call it now Crazy Quest.
  3. So Serenade going to Oz as well as Radiance, Voyager and Ovation. http://m.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/press-release/1386/adventure-awaits-serenade-of-the-seas-to-call-australia-home/
  4. Abe Hughes just announced on FB he has left his CD role and has taken a shore job In the blink of an eye, it’s over.... Well, not “over”, rather the end of an incredible chapter of my life as “Your host, your Cruise Director...” Today I signed off of Symphony of the Seas and will not be returning to “ship life”. I’ve accepted a position with the Sales Team for RCI that will keep me on dry land (with of course the occasional cruise). My wife and I are expecting our first in June, and looking forward to many more exciting times ahead. Thank you all for letting me be part of your vacation experience! Until next time....
  5. What are the chances of a ship returning to New Orleans again?
  6. I have heard that Mike will be our CD for the Oasis TA in April. What is he like as a CD?
  7. Hi all...2 questions 1) Has anyone sailed with Enzo Matijaca before? He is down to be CD on Brilliance and I see he previously was an Activities Manager. and 2) Any ideas who will be the CD for the Oasis Spring Transatlantic? TIA
  8. I still cant see any Fall TAs other than Indy or Anthem on the UK and Ireland site!!! Grrr.
  9. I agree about the US vs UK price differences but unfortunately my travel insurance insists on ABTA and ABTOL protection so I can book with a US agent. The prices are out for my reach as a solo so I am just going to have to wait to see if a 'sale' might help.
  10. Just read this on social media...is it true??? ##### BREAKING NEWS #### Royal Caribbean just announced for the summer of 2020 we will have Adventure and Oasis sailing from Cape Liberty more information to come!
  11. Elvis Pinto posted this on his FB page... Empress of the Seas here I come! 2019 Cuba baby! Yahooo!
  12. Yes...he had either Dance Classes and Zumba Classes in the Centrum most days.
  13. I was on Rhapsody of the Seas last week 24 Nov - 1 Dec and Elvis Pinto did a great job as CD. His Morning Show with Activities Manager Eric Lopez was hilarious. My test of a good CD is how they manage 70's Night and The Quest and he passed the test on both accounts. My only observation was that I saw more of Eric around the ship that I did of Elvis
  14. I was at Captain's Corner with Captain Tobias on Rhapsody on Friday and this is what I picked up - when asked about Rhapsody's future he said that she will still be sailing into 2020. Even though people want the bigger, flashier ships with all the slides etc they will need the smaller ships like the Vision and Radiance classes to get into smaller ports like Venice and under the low bridges like Tampa. - when asked about returning to the West Coast of USA, he said nothing was planned for the immediate future. Same was said about New Orleans after Vision does her short season.
  15. Oh how I wish we had price drops here in Europe! I will keep an eye on the prices of the 5 nighter as it would be nice to add it on and make it a true bucket list trip! ⚓
