Not all cell phone providers will though. Verizon users need to be connected to cell service to use a hotspot.
apparently it's the phone not the provider, it's blocked on iphones, not on Samsung.

What a joke, Princess must be laughing their heads off at the passengers that think this is a "Premium Dessert"
They are laughing, you are correct. Google Princess Boardroom laughing at Premium Desserts. It's on youtube

DH (elite) and I (platinum) will be on a cruise next month. This is his first time as Elite. I'm okay with embarking with the hoards, doing laundry, not going to the elite gatherings, etc. I would like to know if he gets the elite mini bar set up. If not, I'll just grab soda and water in FLL before embarking. I just don't want to buy it, haul it onto the ship to find out it's in our stateroom. I'll be elite after this cruise, and it won't matter going forward. It's too bad it only one per stateroom/segment, but "them are the rules":)

You can use the free laundry too

If you like sea days, you'll love a TA, definitely a different vibe, it's more of a voyage than a cruise and everything is more relaxed and a bit slower. Lots of onboard activities and things that link together and last longer ie trivia and classes etc

They give with one hand and take with the other. Premier was down to £50. However quite a number of the excursions have had up to £30 added to the cost.
Who in there right mind books an excursion with Princess

Greed is a pretty good motive. Poorly run companies put their short-term profits ahead of long-term interests. Stuff happens all the time; it’s how a company deals with it that makes the difference! Their handling WILL cost them future revenue. Personally, I’m done with Princess. Just booked Celebrity Apex over the holidays yesterday. I have also shared this story with lots of family, friends, and coworkers. Word spreads really fast now with social media including this forum for cruise enthusiasts, their target market.
Now I've read this post, I've cancelled all 6 Princess cruises I've got booked. Thank you for the advice

No, we use the rum.runners to take drink off, we don't want to waste our 15 a day quota

Actually they are. Don’t they have the new bottles in Florida yet? We’ve had them here for a very long time. Perhaps they’ll catch up soon and you can also be environmentally friendly. However, I’ve just learned from a fellow cc member the reason they don’t allow passengers to bring on any plastic bottles is because some folks think it’s cool to smuggle alcohol onboard in the plastic water bottles. Imagine that! Who would do such a thing? lol
I know, it's terrible, everyone knows you use rum runners to smuggle alcohol

Thank you for providing Princess’s policy regarding bringing liquids onboard. Glad to see that plastic bottles are prohibited. So very harmful to the environment. I think most guests would prefer cans or cartons, anyway.
They give 1000s a bottles of plastic bottles of water out with the plus package every day

If you want Plus, or the one device plan, but want more than one device simultaneously, then you can if you get one of these travel routers. It then connects to the ship wifi as a single device but allows you to connect several devices to the router simultaneously. The ship sees just one device.
Pointless purchase, just use your phone as the router

well they’d have to call the offshored call centre to get that assessment, which means a lengthy hold time, and then getting a canned response from an ‘agent’ reading from knowledge base article written by an outsourced team ……I think that alone sums up what’s going on with Princess.
Carnival Corp needs to sort the management out, Padgett needs to resign, if not be kicked out

Why would he resign?
Ask the passengers who have just received 4 days notice that their cruse is cancelled

Maybe we should start a petition for John Padgett's removal? I think his time at Princess has come to an end!!!
Completely agree, nothing worse than seeing his face on the TV when you turn the cabin tv on

This has to be one of the tacky ideas ever. Shame on Padgett. Hopefully he will resign over the Sun debacle.

Not to wash cloth napkins. Towels and bed linens are fine because people don’t use those as snot rags.
Your comments are disgusting, I will say no more. Enjoy your cruise.

In food service there are safe handling protocols and standards set out for washing utensils, plates, and glassware. Has to be washed at a set temperature and a certain ppm of bleach for sanitizing purposes. There are protocols and standards for washing food service linens, but many laundry services don’t pay attention to them because the inspectors don’t really check their establishments. The focus is on where the food establishment itself because that’s where food borne illness and contamination is more likely to happen. This comes from someone who is a restaurant partner. So you don't trust Princess then

Feel so sorry for all the pax concerned, Princess management needs a clear out. 4 days notice in inexcusable

I do. I hate using the cloth napkins because you don't know what the person before you did to it. I see passengers using them to blow their noses or using them as a catch basin for their sputum. I really don't trust the ship's laundry to get rid of all traces of human waste.
Knifes and forks, plates, glass wear, what else do you bring.
