  1. You are looking at, $25, $50 or$100.00 USD…. In order, I book our cruises in Canadian dollars and get a similar screen as you…. Only you will know if that is a good exchange rate for you
  2. One thing to think about is the international waters, if the cruise line deems the patient needs a medi-Vac where are they sending you US coast guard etc…. although TUGO’s web site is brutal, it’s because they want you to use a broker first, the travel plan are excellent and so is the response to a claim.
  3. We don’t mind picking up at the pier and I wouldn’t pay extra to have them shipped, but for people with some of the packages the shipping is included in the package
  4. All this info is great, but the original poster specifically mentioned they have medical already, what they want to know about is the different trip interruption and maybe the trip cancellation policies out there…….
  5. I’m just finishing up with a complicated (in my mind) claims procedure for emergency medical and 2 different trip interruptions on a 3 month holiday earlier this year. Medical involved surgery in Australia and trip interruption involved that surgery, catching up to a cruise as well as an interruption non medical related at the end of the cruise in Canada. catching a long distance train tour. I used Tugo insurance bought via our insurance broker and they covered all my claims…. It has taken awhile to get the checks but it does involve Manitoba Health as well. We had separate trip interruption policy’s and bought a medical policy as well… I am open to all and any questions if there are any
  6. Fyi Princess Cruises announced today that Starting Sept 25/23 Canadians can now get the Medallions ship to their Canadian Home….. the fee will be $15.00 USD is you do not have the plus or premier package….. seems to be $5.00USD more than current price of $10.00 for US shipping
  7. In the past Canadians have always needed a visa for Brazil, it was good for 5 years but cumbersome to obtain, you had to visit or mail your passport to a Brazilian consulate office in Canada such as the one in Toronto then they would attach the visa to your passport mail it back to you or you could pick it up….very time consuming and you are trusting your passport to the mail service…sound like now this will be done electronically good for us. Yes you need it for a port stop…
  8. We did ours a month ago, on cruise from Australia to Vancouver with stops in New Zealand…. 17 for nzeata and 35 for international visitors levy… if you are using the New Zealand app that is the correct way to go
  9. Is the Myki explorer card the same as buying a regular Myki reloadable card, and still eligible for discounts? we are going to be in Melbourne for a couple days weeks ahead of our cruise that is also stopping in Melbourne.
  10. Nord VPN on Crown Princess in November did not work
  11. Was on the 28 day Hawaii and Tahiti cruise last November, there was only one child aboard…..around 3 or 4 years of age.
  12. We, used the app last week, worked great. The app was able to use the phones scan feature for passport and camera for pictures. Made it painless
  13. CeeCee59 just wondering how you sorted out the problem? I’m dealing with similar situation with my wife’s right now…
  14. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if they’re “taking the piss”
  15. We have sailed twice since Dec 2022 with Princess, I didn’t have lot number’s on 2 of my three shots at that time, not a problem…. Fyi all we’re done in Manitoba, They just want to make sure you got the shot…..
  16. Another option is to work through a Broker; I’ve used Mediquote.ca in Winnipeg, and Calgary, check them out on line then if you like what you read , give them a call.. CAA is another option…. Manulife also has an department to call for complicated medical histories
  17. On board Princess you can buy the FCC in Canadian funds. In the past I have bought in American and had them converted to Canadian ( they are reluctant to do this though) when I needed them. On board in order to buy in Canadian funds just let the Future Cruise Consultant know what you want.
