I'm glad to hear it is easy. We have several gift cards that we have received as wedding gifts for our upcoming wedding and cruise that I want to use to pay for our wedding pictures. Thank you all for the answers!

You both look amazing. Congratulations!!

This is a random thought, at a random hour (12:15am), but I am just realizing that I am going to have to FORCE Troy to go shopping for groom/mens attire. We have discussed and agreed on what we want but I refuse to order stuff without first looking at the color, feeling the fabric, etc. Oy-vey....we are talking about the man who (in the 3 years we have been together) has not once been to the mall, bought himself even a new t-shirt, or .....well, he did wear dress clothes this past fall, but only because he was in a friend's wedding. Wish me luck gals!
Good luck. Getting Mike out to shop was hard. When I finally did he almost gave up because he couldn't find what he liked. Finally as a last ditch effort I got him to go to one more place with the promise of going for ice cream afterwards, no joke. It was a small local business where we paid more than we would have at a chain store but he was happy. They had two men Out measuring and fitting him and he was finally comfortable. He bought his outfit and I took him for ice cream. You can do it.

We were engaged January 30, 2014, cruise booked mid February, wedding booked same day, save the dates out by the end of February. Wedding is January 25, 2015

I just love hearing about everyone's experiences! Thank you! May I ask you, when did you book your wedding and when is your date?
I booked the end of February in 2014. My date is January 25th.

Have looked in Vons, Lowes, Target, WalMart, Sams Club, Albertsons, and Ralphs here in So Cal... No luck. :(

Our friends in San Diego got us one for our ship board wedding this month. I haven't heard back from them where they found it though.

Hello! Thank for the review.
Did you have to pay to tour the ship? I live in Augusta, GA so I don't live close to the port. But so I know what to expect I'm considering taking that trip. My wedding isn't until December 2015. When is your wedding?
Once you've scheduled the wedding you can request to arrange a tour. It is part of your wedding Package

I guess I'm just not feeling the "warm fuzzies" that I was hoping for. :(
I'm sorry. I wish I had an experience to share, unfortunately I only know Carnival.

Will they be decorating the tables for ya'll?
Also, I just realized (only because my parents were bummed out) that the groom and I wouldn't be having a first dance. I wonder if it's impossible to do with this package... I would think so but idk
They are placing the menu cards I had printed on the tables for me. As for the first dance.... they don't provide for that, however there has been discussion of taking an iPod and speaker for background music so that is something to consider. For us a dance simply isn't important.

Not sure if any of you are interested in this, but I thought it was a great idea. So during the wedding I have a videographer and photographer for the wedding in St Thomas. But I wanted something to remember the time on the cruise with all the friends and family that are joining us.
There's a company that you can upload videos and photos and they will turn it all into a video. Kind of like the videos for weddings but it's for the whole vacation. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll tell you the website.
Other than that, nothing new. Waiting on my shoes to come in the mail. And for tax return. I have to pay off my remaining balance this month which is a whopping $777.
Am I the only one excited for tax return time?
My kids are all grown so my tax return days have disappeared. Lol. Ahhh but I remember those days well.

Ahhhhhh! Yay! It's so crazy how a group of people come together on here and we are all very excited for each other. Too bad we can't all take a cruise someday after we are all married to actually meet! I think it would be amazing to be able to swap stories! Haha and if I have another excuse to take a cruise I would for sure take it. :) I'm so beyond excited for these next couple of months to fly by. It was -37 degree windchill here last night and a high of 0 degrees (why the heck do I live here?) So each and everyday I am more then ready to get the heck out of here! Ahhhhhhh!
Any excuse to cruise! I hope my almost husband loves cruising as much as I do. This will be his first.
-17 wind chill here last night. I am at the airport right now for my volunteer job and thinking, maybe I should go ahead and fly south and meet my honey when he flies down on the 24th. Lol

Random question of the day: what is everyone's first dance song? Are you doing a first dance? Ours is Forever Like That by Ben Rector
We're not doing a first dance. However I suppose if we were I would Pick January Wedding by the Avert Brothers

I had my final call today! In 18 days I'll be Heather Trice!

Carnival and Disney both have good child care/clubs if you have to take the little one. There really are very few honeymoon perks unless you pay for them that I have found.
-
So many of us are or were Carnival Brides.

Are you excited! 20 more days now!!!

I am beyond excited! So READY!

I am SOOO looking forward to that review! I'm getting married August 16, 2015 on the carnival dream with the luncheon to follow. There dont seem to be many people who choose this one. Everyone always does the normal reception thing.
Exactly why I wanted to do a review. There isn't much information for those wishing to do the luncheon so I want there to at least be one out there.

I LOVE your bouquet!!! It's so beautiful! I really will start looking through light in the boxers and see if I find anything. I'm just so unsure. You are so close! I'm so excited for you and can't wait for pictures!

thank you. With so many friends not able to make it to the wedding the brooch bouquet seemed the easiest way for them all to participate from 1500 miles away

My bouquet was mailed to my mom in Florida on Saturday. We have most of our tip and spending money set aside. Final paperwork has been in for three weeks. Our marriage license is in our wedding binder to go with us. Dress and suit have had final fittings. We simply need to finish packing last minute things, have the final phone call and we are ready for our wedding!

Happy New Year everyone!!! I'm starting to freak out.. Lol it's literally been almost a year that I started planning, I can barely believe that. The logistics of the wedding are set but now I'm trying to figure out the rest.
My shoes are in the mail. I hope I like them when they arrive, they look great online lol. I'm trying to figure out the cake now. I honestly can't seem to find a cake I like. It will only be a 2 tier cake but I can't figure out the design I would like.
Haven't gotten little gifts yet for the guests. I know some of you ordered from light-in-***. What did you get for your guests? I'm stuck on that right now.. I don't want to spend too much, but enough to make the feel like I care about them going.
I really want to start picking out stuff for the cruise like excursions and clothing for that.
I hope you all are a little calmer than me cause I'm literally starting to freak out. 😁
Shoes: I have purchased six pairs in total. Lol
Gifts: I got brooches for our mother's from light in the ***
Nerves: breathe deep and hang on tight!

Mine is three weeks from Today. We are doing the let us serve you. I will do a review when we get back.
-
Happy New Year's!
-
We are doing the let us serve you package. I keep a spreadsheet for all expenses. With the two extra guests we are having and all of our hotels, air fare, tips, rental cars, cruise, excursions, even space center tickets for afterwards, etc. we have spent $5873 total. Here we were looking at a wedding with under sixty guests costing about $7000. Our total includes our honeymoon and wedding.

I make a drink called a drunken monkey. I don't know if it is the same:
1 oz 99 Bananas banana schnapps
1/2 oz Bailey's Irish cream
1/2 oz Kahlua coffee liqueur
Pour ingredients over ice into martini shaker. Shake well, pour and serve
