I went through the change password process earlier this morning. I'm able to get in and see excursions, entertainment etc. both on Quantum and other cruises I have booked. Using IE for browser.
Still have this msg on my calendar though. Online reservations for one or more items in your cart are unavailable at this time, please inquire onboard for last minute availability.

I don't ever use another browser but I guess I can try it, thanks :D
Or we could try another cruise line!:eek:
Yep, I'm in the corner :p

Behave yourself or you will be joining me again in the Critters very own naughty corner :p
I stay in the corner so much I have a bunk there :p
Life's more fun "in the corner" :D

maybe RCCL decided to take the whole system down and fix it. Well, there is a novel idea...
Oh No  That could mean they won't bring it back up until it's fixed. That might be never

Could not get in to my cruises. Clicked on forgot username or password. Received new password. Logged in and the system MADE ME change my user name. Couldn't use the original user name.
Same message about stuff in the cart in cruise planner. Cart is EMPTY. Guess EMPTYisn't available for booking.
Tried to IM with a C&A rep. IM says no one is available at this time to chat - we'll get back to you.
WoW - this is one Royal mess. Pun intended because isn't not Fun out here on our end.

Ok so it's NOT me.
And the dining reveal was only good if you were actually there!!:D
Nick totally hedged on maybe charging for entertainment in the future.......he skirted the question totally BUT DEI, I see that you did ask on twitter....
I don't think he skirted the question. He clearly said it is something they are looking in to as are other cruise lines. 'Sounded like it's not coming out with the launch of Quantum but he alluded to the fact that it is being considered.

from what i have read throughout this forum, nothing seems to be an easy it fix for royal lol
amen!

When you say EOS ---- are you referring to the Enchantment or Explorer???
Thanks! :D
They were on Explorer when I sailed in March.
I never use 3 letter abbreviations for the reason you brought up. I use the two letter designation the ships crew use.
EX Explorer
EN Enchantment

Article speculates due to demand for ships in Asia.

Just move the whole fleet to Asia

At this point I don't think the issue will be with Quantum. Too close to rolling it out and entertainment reservations already made etc. Unless it's for a venue/show that is yet to be posted. Not saying it won't be added on later. But more may come out in the hangout discussion Wednesday.

That is too bad I am sorry you do not enjoy your comedy shows. I know on the Allure and the oasis they change comedians each week. I admit some of them are not good but id say 85% of the time they are good
Didn't say I don't enjoy them (now jugglers ??). But would I pay an extra to see any of the comedians? Don't think so and that includes Comedy Live on Oasis and Allure.
-
I am with you on that one. I mean if i had to pay for a show I would only pay for the Comedy show. I wouldnt pay to see Momma Mia.
I really hope they will not start this non sense
Been on 26 RCI cruises and haven't saw a comedy show I'd be willing to pay for.

Yes, The Cirque Show in the tent on the Brakaway but it is a Dinner show, Filet Mignon and Shrimp, baked potato and veggie. Normal shows, like Burn the Floor and Rock of Ages do not have a charge. My guess if Royal Charges for entertainment it will be something special like Cirque. BTY, the dinner show was fabulous, did it twice and considering what a Cirque show on land costs, its a bargain.
The article from seatrader seems to point to something like the dinner show on NCL. However several people that have received the email surveys say its specifically asking about Broadway type shows and if they would be willing to pay.

Towels maybe?

That may be what was intended. If so the poster should be happy to know they stopped doing that.

I have never being in a pay restaurant I don't mind if they have it as long as there are free restaurant. But pay entertainment as the only choice? I just want to see that. I though the charge for the towers were bad idea, let's see how long can they keep it for lol

DH received a survey from
RCI yesterday all about Broadway type entertainment. They listed maybe 15 or so shows and asked several questions about them - one being would you pay to see this show. His answer was NO on all of them.
Anyone else get the survey?

Haven't received it but my answer to paying would be the same. Hope I get it.

I doubt they've even installed any cabins into Anthem yet. Especially not in the inside megablock they likely only have one block laid for. Seems odd for RCCL to mess this up.
Edit: Just realized what I typed, makes perfect sense for RCCL to mess something big up. Never mind.
The reason for this confusion is because RCCL has not come out with a public statement about what happened.

Can't seem to find an article. Was it removed?
The article incorrectly listed Anthem as the ship that had the fire and when that was pointed out they removed the article.

I believe you are correct. And coupled with "dynamic dining", which looks a lot like an NCL concept, so much for Royal's self proclaimed innovation. If RCCL starts to look and feel more like NCL . . .
But what do I know? I'm not in marketing, I'm just a long time cruiser who really enjoys the RCCL product, and I won't pay for entertainment.
Yes NCL has a dinner show that people have to pay for. I just can't see with all of the dining stuff already put out on Quantum that there would still be another dining option. Hopefully it's all an error in the story reported but it wouldn't surprise me if they were doing something like the article says. They won't get me to participate. I'm not thrilled in the Quantum class at this point anyway. I'm on the inaugural sailing but at this point have no inclination to even think about booking Anthem.

Attached is a direct translation (internet translation) of the German news article on the fire. This indicates Quantum.

NO NO NO - I like to go to the shows but I wouldn't pay an upcharge to see them. They arn't that good.
My sentiments exactly

I hope that is all it is. Or they have inside information and are leaking something that is not supposed to be out until next week.

The 'Illusionarium' magic dinner show proved to be one of the Norwegian Getaway's most popular features.
And as stated in an earlier post, that is all it takes to open the door to doing this sort of thing industry wide.
