  1. Although we are an Apple household (MacBooks, iPhones etc) the tags were so much cheaper on Amazon that we bought them there. Great info about the batteries. Thank you Jazzbbeau!
  2. We change suitcases depending on the type of holiday and store the tags in a cupboard in between vacations. As they all look the same - large button size and white - I have used some nail varnish to uniquely mark each one so I can tell them apart quickly.
  3. Malaga is a real foodie destination. There are loads of good restaurants serving great tapas both the classic stuff and now more modern versions too. The market is an excellent place to stock up on spices including saffron and herbs as well as local almonds or try a few slices some of the more expensive iberico hams. It's a good spot for a classic tapas lunch at one of the bars. A walk of both the walls of Gibralfaro (€3) for great views and then lower down, the small incredibly well preserved Alcazaba, way smaller than the Alhambra but well worth the €2 entrance fee. Do find the lift to the higher entrance rather than climb from the roman theatre. Of course, if it's raining try the Picasso museum or the Thyssen Carmen museum... There's so much to do just a short distance from the ship.
  4. Thank you for letting all of us know about the new schedules. We've booked our B2B cruise from Tokyo to Singapore. Hooray!
  5. If you are given a transit pass - a postcard sized card highlighting you are a transit passenger - and you decided to go ashore, remember to take it with you. It will speed you through all the lines as you will be directed to the shortest queues etc to get your new cabin pass. It feels like a magic ticket!
  6. Yes, it's the ferry that ends in Parramatta. I don't think the ferries have particular names. If it's a nice day, certainly sit outside - you might need sunscreen, hat, water etc if it's really warm or a mac, fleece and umbrella if it's a bit cooler as happened to us the last time! (only we didn't have any of them and had to resort to sitting inside)! At Parramatta, you will need to leave the ferry walk the short loop ashore and reboard. Highly recommend getting an Opal card and loading with sufficient funds for your trip - week runs from Monday to Sunday and the day costs are capped. You can get a refund on the card but it lasts 9 years before they cancel it, so hang on if you think you will go to Sydney again. This will be our third visit and we can't wait.
  7. Too hot to walk? Fed up of walking? Our favourite thing to do is take the ferry from Circular Quay all the way up to Parmatta and back. The last section is narrow with mangroves alongside and the exotic birdlife flying overhead. We love it! It's a great way to spend the afternoon.
  8. We always hope that we don't need to charge everything at once but we will each have a laptop, a kindle, a phone, and we share an electric toothbrush and a GoPro so 8 devices in total. An extension cable or multi socket device is really useful where there are few USBs.

They will move your hanging clothes and your suitcases but you need to put your stuff from the bathroom and drawers into your cases. We were able to make our move really early as the next cabin was cleaned first and it was literally next door! But the stewards were very helpful.
  10. We were there in October last year. Most of our group had a fleece or light jacket. One hardy individual was happy without but our guide was most concerned. The coldest bit is the train to get you to the start of the walk. These are really beautiful caves and well worth visiting. We thought it quite busy, but we were told that before covid it was almost impossible to move, so go now!

As an aside to the actual process, if you chose a wine package with more bottles than your first cruise you will be able to carry the remainder over onto your next cruise too. This can be a way of making good savings on the wine packages. Talk to one of your sommeliers
  12. According to Manchester airport "If you are unable to book your assistance prior to 48 hours before your travel, we will still be able to assist you. On your arrival, please report to the Special Assistance reception points, located in the check-in halls." Although, if standing is an issue then "Alternatively if you need assistance from your vehicle or public transport there are assistance call points in these locations and a member of the team will be happy to come and assist you." I would go for it and look for the assistance points... our experience of Gatwick suggested that once in a wheelchair, my Dad was treated as a VIP and went to the head of the queues and was transported to the special waiting area very quickly. More luck!
  13. That is really frustrating! Just a thought - have you tried accessing your booking online. I believe that you can request assistance with easyJet that way... The main check is whether you can manage stairs, if you are not at a gate, you will be taken outside in a buggy and a hoist raised to deck level where they will use either a wheel chair or you can walk aboard the plane, else it's a buggy to the gate and a wheelchair to the entrance. Good luck!
