We sailed Trollfjord on Azamara Quest, same size as Oceania “R” ships, in 2016.

We chose Azamara for our Norwegian adventures specifically because, unlike Oceania at that time, it had no stops in Putinland. (BTW, my travel options keep narrowing because political traveler spouse keeps adding more countries to his no-go list. I have been proposing an all-Turkey land trip since his 2018 retirement but with Erdogan, my chances continue to wane.)

Thanks for letting me know. I just checked the 2023 schedule of Azamara and they will continue to have Norway cruises that visit Trollfjord next year. The itineraries look amazing.

We've booked a 10 NCL cruise for July 2023.  Get on ship in Ryekjavik, cruise to Djupivogur, Akureyri and Isafjordur.  Then head to Greenland:  Nonortalik, Paamiut, Nuuk and then back to Reykjavik.

Look forward to reading any and all threads that covers these ports.

NCL Star will sail (for the first time) two similar cruises on 14th and 25th of July this year. There may be some reviews afterwards, if you wish to have the NCL-specific review.

Get ready for more of these threads.  They are reservation specific, and I've already received them for my next three upcoming cruises.  There are more after that...  😎

And even for the upcoming cruises in 2023 / 2024... 🙄

Our replacement embarking on Jul 21 started out with many wait list categories.  That dropped dramatically when the war broke out and St. Petersburg port was dropped.  Today only 3 categories are sold out, the two inside and the Owners Suite.  This despite offers since January of OLife Ultimate and 4 category upgrade special limited sales.  I suspect the ship will be at most 50% capacity.

I will be on the previous Baltic voyage (Jul 9) before yours. The cabin availability is similar. Almost all categories are available.

You'd be surprised how many times we ads those cabins going to ours and see two seemingly healthy people walking in or out of them.

But we cannot determine if these people intentionally book this cabin.

Sometimes if you book a guarantee cabin, Royal Caribbean will assign an accessible cabin to you because there is no more regular rooms available.

Hubby and I have a repositioning cruise on the Royal in April 2024 - Sydney to Tokyo. Certainly not convinced this cruise will happen as the Royal is now not repositioning back to Sydney from Hong Kong in 2023. I do wonder what will become of our 2024 cruise, whether we will get another ship for whether the Royal will end up not coming 'down under' at all. Time will tell I guess. Vicki. 🙂

The Hong Kong to Sydney cruise on Royal Princess will be cancelled, but there will be a new reposition cruise from Vancouver to Sydney. Royal Princess will still stay in Australia from late 2023 to April 2024.

  9. I believe your cruise will be in 2023? This year Riviera will not have any cruises departing from Southampton.

The Southampton port schedule for 2023 is not published yet. It is still unknown which terminal (out of 5 terminals in total) that Riviera will moor at.

If Riviera will be at Ocean Terminal 101 or Horizon Terminal 102, then Holiday Inn is just across the street. You can walk to the Terminals in around 15 minutes.

Here is the view of an oceanview room of Holiday Inn.

Here is what I saw on the app Shipmate. I wonder if they just took this deck plan from across this class ship and they are all the same? But yeah you are right, it does show Izumi on the princess website.

This was a very old version of the deck plan, at least more than 10 years ago. At that time Diamond Princess was not yet refurbished and did not have the Izumi.

The person who first reported the quiz email (Cruise Wonderland) has Hong Kong listed as their home in their Cruise Critic profile.  I am guessing the rest of us in the Western Hemisphere will see the email today.

I haven't seen the email either, but the link Cruise Wonderland posted worked.  Only difference was I needed to add my CC number manually.   Hope this doesn't create an issue with the points.

No, I haven't received the email either, and never receive any emails every time.

But the quizzes are usually posted on this link. I just bookmarked this page, and check it regularly every morning.

Many helpful CC members have shared the PUP activities over the previous hundred of pages and I am always benefited from them. When I spotted the new quiz today, it's my turn to share this opportunity of earning points to everybody. 😁
