  1. I posted a couple of days ago saying I couldn’t get into the check in page, had tried different devices, clearing everything still no joy. Finally today managed to get in - laptop, tablet still wouldn’t work, tried using iPhone and no problem straight in - just reporting back in case that helps anyone else.

  2. Hi all

Trying to start check in for a cruise a month away. Can log in to my cruises fine, cruise planner is working fine, but the link from start check in is just taking me to a blank page.

Have tried different devices, clearing everything etc but all same. Any other fixes I’ve missed or is it just a case of keep trying and hope it works soon?

  3. My advice as before (although it seems from this thread a lot disagree with) is:

Rome is an hour + from the port (can be much longer in traffic). Barcelona is right there.

Rome itself is much more spread out for all the key tourist sites vs Barcelona.

My opinion every time would be fly to Rome, enjoy it for a couple days, take your time, make your way to port morning of cruise.

Barcelona you dock right there you can get a really good taste of it in a day as you don’t cut your hours with travel time

  4. We are seriously considering this when next in Cozumel early next year. It sounds like a blast. It sounds like you enjoyed it - I think we will, too.

Was honestly one of the best excursions I have done, they had just started a new map it takes you right in to downtown to really see what the island and people are about. Was about a $10 cab ride to the meeting point, We booked through Viator, everyone else in the game were from a Carnival ship tour

  5. Check in and bag drop for BA at Heathrow will be available any time you want that day, there isn’t an X hours before limit. If you’re definitely just heading to the airport book a lounge pass and hang out in there for the day. The last Heathrow one I went in had food, drinks, showers, a TV room, some of the lounges do have a time limit when they are busy so check the details before you book.

  6. You don’t mention ages or group size but we just did this exact itinerary, we did:

Nassau - pearl island - boat ride over, beautiful beach, not crowded, inflatables, snorkelling, lunch all included

Cozumel - paradise beach for the morning - beautiful, not crowded, inflatables, reasonable prices.

Then amazing race for the afternoon - one of the most fun excursions ever

Roatan - Boss underwater scooters - amazing

Costa maya - tried the beach was absolutely covered in smelly seaweed so went back to port and chilled round the big pool which is free to use

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend all of them

  7. Many of us are on this itinerary later this season waiting to see if the Allure will dock in Rostan this morning.

Can you confirm Roatan is a port the Allure is stopping in or did they change plans last minute?

Thank you and have a great week on your cruise!

We did indeed arrive on time, there was an announcement from the cruise director that getting alongside was taking a while as it was a new port but all was good. We were outside on the pier in the afternoon waiting for a tour and the president of Honduras arrived for a tour of the ship and lunch, the port area was chaos!

  8. As the title says, Happy to answer any questions.

    Few quick fire things

    - Coastal kitchen is amazing

    - Only 1 sea day so far - constant announcements about not reserving chairs and half hour limit else your stuff will be at guest services

    - roatan is on we are due there in the morning

    - we returned back to Miami the night we had been n Nassau due to a medical emergency, we were 2 hours late to Cozumel today because of this but then all aboard was also changed to 2 hours later than planned because of it

    - no drinks cards offered yet, but today 10 draft beers for $49 is being offered

    - we are in a cl2 back of ship - no issues at all with noise from sport deck

Sorry but I haven’t kept compasses or menus

I’ll add later anything else I think of but happy to help with any questions.

  9. Sorry about my previous post, of course Roatan has been cancelled, but I took the information from a colleague on the Liberty of the Seas, that they were getting an extra sea day, as future policy

I apologize for amortizing this information to future itineraries

Ah cool no worries just thought I had missed something, thanks for the info will sit tight for now then

  10. Also just to add. UK bookings made before end of April have an offer of a 1 time reprice to any new promotion or price any time between booking and 31st December 18.

1st time I’ve ever seen that offered in the UK.

I always book with US agent but exchange rate and this new offer has made me think twice before making my next booking

  11. How many days before the cruise are you planning to arrive and/or how many days stay post cruise?

Makes a difference... if you really want to see Rome, it’s a pain and too far really to be a relaxing trip in a day from the port to get to see everything.

Barcelona on the other hand is simple and close by the port, so you would get much more out of just 1 day there.

If you’re planning to arrive a day or more prior or stay on after I’d say go with Italy, fly to Rome, enjoy everything it offers and then make your way to the port at your leisure.

If you’re straight in and out, then Barcelona will be much easier for the travelling.
