  1. On Harmony Med last summer it was available in cruise planner and also offered on board. You could stay up to 3pm, but still had to be out of your room by 8am, had to use set luggage tags night before so no access to luggage, and any drinks package expired, you needed to leave a credit card on file for final day charges.

I suspect it may have been valid for such a late departure due to the Rome/Barcelona split starting port on that itinerary but we met a fair few people who were taking advantage of it where they had later flights home

  2. We were just on Navigator, no tickets for Ice Show - I was on the 9 night itinerary and it was on 2 days, twice per day.

For this and also the more popular shows in the theatre we got there 20 mins before the start and got seats fine, but they all filled up quick. In the theatre especially there are lots of seats where views are obscured, up to half the stage is cut off from seats on top level sides so if you want a good view get there early - there were loads of drink servers roaming so was no hassle to get there early

  3. What is it with the ice show? On Harmony we saw the same thing. Genie comes down with a party of three. There were only 2 seats next to each other open, with a 3rd one open 5 seats to the left. One couple smiled and moved over one seat each to make room for the 3rd star class person to sit with the other two. But the other couple would not move. Complete jerks. So the 3rd start class person ended up sitting by himself, 2 seats away from his 2 friends. Oh, did I mention the couple that wouldn't move had a dog in their lap?

All week we saw issues like this. We were slumming it in Sky class. The poor girls in the theater whose job it was to hold 2 looooong entire rows in the main theater for any and all sky class. Hopeless, frustrating for them. What made it worse was that week there was a couple hundred people from East Asia on the sailing. They would literally push the girl aside to take any seats they wanted. "No English....No English....."as they waved her away. So rude. They knew what they were doing.

From a way back but funny story, on Harmony Med last summer we watched a guy trying to reserve seats at the ice show 4 or 5 groups tried to pass him to take them and he said no, in the end 5 mins before the start loads of people didn't have seats so a guy and his wife went back for a second go, the guy still said no, they tried to walk past, he lifted he legs to block them, they both started shouting, guy sitting threw a punch, other guy threw one back, then pushed his legs and walked past and him and his wife took the seats. The guys were then sat next to each other shoulder to shoulder the whole show - the original guys pals never did show up, but that must have been a very awkward hour!!

    No security arrived.

  4. Hi

I am boarding Navigator at the end of the month. I am just about to book a Grand Suite on Allure for May 2018 - I am planning on booking with a US TA however booking perks arent great at the moment ($100 OBC) my question is if I wait and book onboard can I then as a UK resident transfer my booking to a US TA or will that get blocked as it will have been considered a U.K booking which I have made - Anyone have any first hand knowledge?

    Thank you

  5. We cruised Oasis over Christmas -

There was carols on Christmas Eve. Santa arrived Christmas morning with presents for the kids. Ship decorated beautifully. Turkey dinner in MDR Christmas Day. It was lovely but to be honest I had expected much more magical and Christmas themed activities than what was reality - think it as they are catering to many passengers who don't celebrate Christmas also so it's not OTT.

None the less it was definitely a fabulous way to spend Christmas

  6. Hi everybody.

As I've never sailed on Vision of the seas before, I'm now doing a little more research (as advised).

Is there smoking allowed in the casino and are there designated areas on the ship too ?

Also, apparently you aren't allowed to smoke in public places in dubai, so where is it permitted ?

Sent from my SM-G920F using Forums mobile app

Yes you definitely are - same rules as UK - nowhere inside, wherever you like outside all bars and restaurants and streets have ash trays all over

  7. I got the same, but I had logged in with my C&A account and at the bottom of the screen was a button labelled hold booking. I wanted to hold it anyway to discuss with my wife to see if she was happy with the ports. Later that night when I went back to the booking to pay the deposit, it showed up as a held booking, under My Cruises. I added my families names and C&A numbers and it never asked me for my home address. I guess it took it from the C&A details. Now its listed under Purchased Cruises.

When I paid the deposit, I put in my Australian address under billing details - which I assume they check with the CC company.

Cool thanks for the info, I'll give it a shot on my next booking and see if it works

  8. I had the exact same problem.

It's a crazy system. The US customers can just go ahead and book, then switch dates, change cat, adjust price numerous times and even cancel altogether - rates even when booked are far from fixed.

UK customers are affected by the mad rush driving the price up and once booked are locked to that exact screen price - no adjustment, no changes without loss of £300 deposit...Its nuts!

I wonder the % fall out of US bookings on one of these cruises Id bet it's pretty high!

  9. In my experience of 7 times in Dubai, most flights (from the U.K. at least) land super early hours of the morning - the hotels are well geared up for early arrivers - we have most times been checked straight in to our room on arrival or at worst bags taken and offered breakfast, pool towels etc whilst they wait for the room to come available. I can't think of 1 time where we had to wait until their posted check-in time to be settled in our room.

  10. I had Sabor booked for my Navigator sailing in April at $30 pp. I noticed today when booking something else it was now listed as $15 pp. I thought maybe that meant it had changed to a la carte pricing with the $15 pp going as credit towards bill, but no mention of that in the terms so I went ahead and cancelled and re booked at the lower price - it does look like the price actually dropped but guess I'll find out for sure once onboard
