Yes and Princess is doing the same thing. I can not understand why they would rather allow a Travel agent to give you a better solo rate than you can get directly through them. I prefer to book directly with the cruise line. They have to pay the Travel agents a fee why would they not give it directly to their stock holding customer. As a stock holder I question the mentality of that decision. Keep your customers that like to cruise happy! I had a long discussion with Princess with a person that was pretty high up yesterday. They give the TA special promotion rates to sell out their ships. So why not offer it directly to the customer as well.
Makes no sense to me....! Princess is also a Carnival company!

If it is the new thing then I may be getting rid of my stock.
-
If you were to try sailing on her again and choosing an inside cabin what deck and location would you choose?
-
Yes and Princess is leaving Bayport in Houston after this season. So, not sure the stock benefit is worth the cost...
-
Well, not sure I am too happy I purchased Carnival stock. That was the main reason...

I have been checking and all the cruises appear to be double for a solo! Has something changed since last year? used to be able to cruise out of Galveston on some nice solo rates.
Thanks for any info!

Wondering if it would be a good ship to spend a TA on. So would be interested to know what you like and do not like about the ship.
Thanks!

Does the Triumph have 2 night stands in their inside cabin? We find the storage space on the Triumph very limited for 2 people on a long cruise in an inside. We had only 1 last cruise and it was a problem.

So you can just buy a future cruise certificate and apply it later with the same benefits as selecting an actual cruise while onboard?
-
We have not purchased one on Princess before... I know they are different on all cruise lines. We are also stock holders.
Can you buy a voucher for an unspecified date? or can you select far out date and then move it to a cruise you decide to take earlier without penalty?
If you book a cruise while on board and then have to cancel can you reapply it to a future cruise without penalty?
What are the advantages of booking while on board? What is the breakdown of OBC per length of cruise?
Thanks so much for any information!!

Yes, Carnival, Rccl, and then Disney for a while. Carnival seems to be doing a huge shift in their ships in Galveston. Hope they are newer and better ships and some longer and more varied itineraries.
-
I am really sad about that! We mainly cruise out of Texas. If they do not like Bayport sure wish they would cruise out of Galveston.
-
I do not see any cruises in 2017 leaving from Houston Bayport or Galveston.
-
do they sell retin A 1% cream? Would love to hear from recent travelers what medications are available.
-
Betsy is that applying to the Earle Saver fare? But when they add the guarantee cabins at super low fare, that will not apply.:(
-
I called and they said I should get an email tomorrow with my tracking number because it is the 5th day. We will see...
-
I sure wish it was easier to compare fares, they all have limitations and small print and then they come out with super low fares and then it is a different category so they do not honor the drop. A new different sale everyday it seems.
Is there a website that actually lets you see if a cruise is near full or not very full.
I know travel agencies hold a lot of cabins in their inventory or "group" that are not actually sold cabins which start reappearing after final payment.
Any help trying to explain the confusion is appreciated.

When you spoke with them did they indicate when the verizon will ship? I ordered some to from verizon.

Ok so you book past guest cruise at a far out date. Then when a sooner cruise you move the booking number to the new cruise date and you are still able to offer the friends and family to two cabins that also book your same cruise?
Correct??:)!
-
Ok, thanks for the clarification:)!
-
Oh Ok. So it is my understanding that you can book a far out "past guest" cruise and then apply it to a cruise you decide to take at an earlier date and if 2 of your friends decide to go on the same cruise, they will also get the same OBC per length of cruise>?
Correct?
Thanks!
-
Ok thank you. So that means that friends need to book with in 60 days of the original booking?
Thanks
-
Wondering if you buy a "past guest" future cruise voucher while onboard if you still receive 2 friends and family vouchers? For a 7-13 day cruise would everyone receive $100 OBC then?
Thanks

Are you able to use these if you book with a travel agent company?
Thanks
