No, you lose $50 pp for a change, but your deposit is still there to apply to another cruise for 2 years.

I didn't. Did research all day on CC, roll calls and consulting with customer service with Carnival:)! That is how I find out answers. CC is a great source to. Ask questions on. I also research Carnival by calling. All great ways to get information:)! Thanks for asking:)!

Until final payment is due. I also was told by Carnival that not all the held group cabins have money on them yet. Not very good Carnival...we are stock holders as well:)!
-
I travel with my husband but you can book ES as a solo traveler then add the other guest later with no penalty. I also book PG place holder bookings:)!
-
So you do not like early saver, do you book PG? And Why?
-
That is correct:)! It is well know on the Roll Calls...
-
Really makes the cruise quite expensive until people drop out when final payment is due... Really over inflates the normal price when they hold the blocks or groups until they start having to release them or pay up.

Only looking for an inside on a Journey cruise in October.

When Vista started sailing in Europe what was the itinerary? I am wondering if Horizon will follow the same itinerary in Europe when it starts sailing in 2018.
Thanks

Yes, I have had pretty good luck with ES and getting price drops. We cruise when kids are in school so there is usually better availability on the cruises.

I will be on a ship soon and want to book while on the ship. Most of the travel agent blocks are guaranty cabins also. I am picky about the cabin...
-
Well because I am getting ready to go on a Carnival cruise and I was going to book it on board. Do you know if the schedule is out already for next years cruises on Horizon? I can check that as well.
Thanks!

I have cruised for years and have never had any problems dealing directly with the cruise lines:). I can get price drops on my own and I can talk directly to the cruise line. Just my opinion and everyone can have there own:)!

I thought if you book "early saver" if any other fare rates came out that were lower you could get that price if you booked ES. I know you used to have to pay a $50 change fee PP if you changed the cruise date. Any other cons to booking ES?
Thanks for information!

Wow! Now I am really thinking about Early Saver... What are all the restrictions with Early Saver? I thought if any other fare came out that was lower you could get it with Early Saver... Maybe they have changed that...
Hope someone will answer this...

So what rate do you tend to book?
-
We would like to cruise there sometime and was just wondering if Carnival has ships there and if they are good ships?
Thanks

Do you know when the group booking deadline occurs??
-
Because I have been on another social forum and they are saying what they have left in their group blocks... The cruise line prices appear unusually high because the Carnival price system raises prices when a cruise appears close to sold out. I am not sure how long they are allowed to hold the group blocks, but as soon as final payment is due they for sure have to release the cabins.

I know the Vista is moving to Galveston. They will have the Vista, Freedom, and the Valor. Which would you prefer the Vista or the Freedom and why???
-
I have a far out cruise I want to take and it appears "sold out" except for deck 1 and 2. I know this cruise is not sold out. The Travel agencies are holding large blocks of cabins I know for a fact. It just doesn't seem fair to me... I prefer to control my own booking. I will occasionally transfer it to a Travel Agent b4 final payment for a nice OBC etc.

We are getting ready to go on a cruise. While on the cruise I want to book a few Future cruises. 1 I have the specific cruise I want to book. however on the others, can I book a far out date cruise as "Past Guest" and then later more it up and apply it to an "early saver" on another cruise? I have had no problem doing this before. Has anything changed?
Is "Early Saver" where you can get price drops up until 2 days, still the way to go on a specific cruise? I know on Early Saver if you make changes you pay a $50 penalty...
Thanks for any advice!
-
Well, I booked past guest for a far out date on the last cruise and applied them to the B2B we are taking very soon. Moved the dates up with no problem. Planning to do that on this cruise as well. Unless something has changed... So, someone please let me know if you book a "past guest" cruise onboard and then move it up to a new date and apply it to an Early Saver Rate, if the rules have changed. I learned that on Cruise Critic.
-
Yes, but you do fill out forms to hand the person. I know one i will book specifically. I always book a few far out dates as "Past Guest Rate" because then there is no penalty to apply them to a cruise when I decide on another cruise:).
Carnival Horizon?? Any news or speculation on where she will cruise first??
