I have the same question. Our cruise this month was cancelled and we plan to take the FCC + OBC. We already have one of the 50th anniversary cruises booked next year, only paid the deposit. We might re-book something this year, but also wondering if we can transfer the cancellation deal over to the one we have.

This is exactly what I did with my last cancelled cruise.

I had booked the Sailabration long ago and the FCC from the cancelled cruise and the $600 OBC were applied to the Sailabration cruise.

    Cancellations coming soon. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I believe final payment on this cruise is tomorrow.  Not sure of that since mine is a replacement for a previously cancelled cruise and I've been paid for some time.

That seems to fall in line with my offers. We always get an internet plans and the code for my wifi deal is LU9. However, we've never gotten Cheers and my code for that deal is RU2. My wife's is the same way.

My Cheers offer is RU2.  My internet offer is LU1.  I have never purchased either of these plans.

If I'm reading you right. Let's say your price was 758 cruisefare, but new sale is 758 plus $50 obc, you could get the $50 obc.

This is correct.  However if you booked with a reduced deposit and the new rate doesn't include the same, you will need to pay the difference.

It wouldn't make a difference in the total amount of your cruise.

Come to think of it, since many people have experienced their cruises disappearing from their Cruise Manager, our cancelled one might appear again if I try to re-add it, but I'm not too concerned.

All of my booked cruises reappeared in Cruise Manager this morning.

Had cruise cash purchased for my March cruise that was cancelled and it was refunded to my credit card same as my other Fun Shops purchases

Prior to cruising it can be refunded in the same manner it was paid for.  Once you are onboard it becomes non-refundable.  Use it or lose it.

I have a couple of the gift cards and am thinking about buying more at the 12% off price. Do they gift cards expire? I have yet to take my first Carnival cruise but am rebooked for 2022.

    Thanks!

The Carnival gift cards do not have an expiration date.

If you cancel, any amounts paid by gift card will be refunded by a new gift card.

Once again, to be used to spend on board,  not cash out at the casino.  It's  free money to cover on board expenses,  not to be put back in your wallet to reduce the price of your cruise by 600.

It was a miscalculation by the marketing geniuses at Carnival.   They should have just kept it simple and gave 125% in FCC like their competitors.

Your opinion is duly noted.  Happy Sailing.

... Instead of sticking it to those who served you on your vacation, you're  sticking it to the company that bequeathed the OBC to you to spend on board.

Carnival did not bequeath the OBC.  They offered it as an incentive to rebook a cancelled cruise.

There  is a certain percentage of Carnival cruisers that are the cheapest of the cheap and only think of themselves.  That's why customer service is so jammed on the last sea day with hundreds of cheapskates lined up to remove their gratuities.

The gift card purchase would at least assure that the monies would be allocated towards a future cruise.

I have always prepaid grats except for the upcoming cruise with 600. OBC.   If it sails I'll pay the grats from the 600. OBC.

I spend very little while on board and fail to see why I should feel obligated to spend the difference with Carnival.

I didn't cancel the cruise that generated the 600. OBC. Rather, highly anticipated plans were cancelled at not insignificant inconvenience to me.  I am having a hard time understanding why you think I somehow owe the OBC back to Carnival.

My wife works in a medical clinic and she got the first shot on Saturday here in North Carolina.

This is good news.  I had a routine appointment with my doctor today and was thrilled to find all employees in the office have received the first round of vaccinations.  This is in south central Texas.

They would be stupid to allow people to download 600, lose 10 bucks, and cash out 590 to be put back in their pocket.  It should be used for Cheers,  dining, excursions, duty free shopping and gratuities, what OBC is normally used for.

Should be?  I have never yet spent 600.00 on board for two people on a 7 day cruise.  Whose normal are you describing?
