Insert sad face here. I am back on Seaside in a few weeks and will miss him.
-
We did this several years ago on Windstar. Flew into Panama City, taxi to Colon (about $100) and ended up disembarking in Costa Rica. We loved the small ship transit through the canal because you could see so much more than on a large cruise ship. The narrator on board was excellent. Don't know if Panama now has Uber, if they do, might be cheaper. Do not go to Colon until day of embarkation, the city is a dump and not that safe.

Thank you!

Haven't sailed Windstar for the last few years, so sorry for this question, but can you take a bottle or two of wine on board when embarking? Old age is affecting my memory on this subject.
-
For those who could not watch it, go to www.my5.tv and use a VPN set to the UK. It is the first one listed under features. Enjoy!

Does anyone know if the free specialty dining is honored on a 4 day cruise? Thinking of doing an add-on to our current booking and it's for 4 days only.
-
Sorry, no. It's treated like a specialty restaurant.
-
We do the same as Cruisergal. We tip our butler, room attendant, and several of our servers who have gone above and beyond at the end of the cruise.
-
in February we had lunch in the sushi bar, so yes it is open, unless they have changed it since then.
-
I think ours appeared on the second day.
-
we received a card in our stateroom on Seaside, which we brought with us to the restaurant when we showed up for dinner.
-
So we're booked on the 10/28/18 cruise and our itinerary is still showing Colon and Limon, but interestingly enough no excursions are shown for Colon in Panama. Now I'm wondering what this means.
-
Seaside had them in the theater in the afternoon.

Was on with a smoking friend....deck 7 aft pool, starboard side; deck 8 starboard side, small area outside Seaview Lounge; deck 19 Miramar Bar, starboard side and small area of casino, starboard side.

The tv swing out from the wall so yes you can watch tv from the bed.
This seems to vary from cabin to cabin, at least in the Yacht Club. We did a b2b and the first week our cabin had a huge tv, but no swivel, the second week our cabin had a smaller tv, but it swiveled.

I won't be in the Yacht Club on Seaside til next Saturday, but on Divina, the earliest seating for dinner was 6 pm in the Yacht Club.

YC is premium package. Unfortunately many MSC reps are woefully ignorant of what is included.
-
I also read that someone on the Christmas Cruise posted that they open to the port side. Won't find out myself until we sail at the end of this month.
-
Your time dining is only available with the Aurea experience, not bella or fantastica.
-
The card slot will not turn off the tv, nor affect the plugs, so you can charge your phone, etc while card is not in slot.

Just got off Divina and in the Yacht Club restaurant there was a Russian family seated next to us every night and the father wore jean shorts, flip flops and a tee shirt every night, including formal nights. Nothing was said to him.
-
I've not had a problem with tag holders on the Divina in the past, FWIW.
-
If departure is at 7pm for Divina what is the earliest time to get to port for boarding? We also will be in the Yacht Club.
Last time we sailed Divina boarding began at 11:30 for Yacht Club. Barring hangups with US Customs clearing the ship for boarding, I would imagine that boarding will begin sometime after 11 am and before noon.

Do I see that right? The Top Sail has stairs up to the restaurant? I hope the restaurant noise doesn't carry down to the top sail.
MSC "BID UP" program launch

I know many people who have gotten the offer to bid up, including myself. All of them were for this July and August.
