I would do SNA/Orange County. I have flown SEA-SNA several times for meetings in Seal Beach (near Long Beach) because SNA is just so much easier to get in and out of, rent cars at, etc. It may be slightly further, but that time is saved at the airport itself in my experience.
Really depends on what you want to do. If you want to rent a car, sight-see, visit Disneyland etc., then yeah, SNA might be more convenient. If you want to get off the plane and head straight to the cruise terminal or a Long Beach hotel, and don't need a car, then LAX is the better option imo. There are town cars, shuttle vans, Uber/Lyft etc., all of which tend to be a little quicker and cheaper from LAX. Airfare to LAX tends to cheaper as well.

Alaska stopped serving LGB about 4 years ago. If you must fly AS, and are simply wanting to get the Long Beach cruise terminal, I recommend flying into LAX. There are many convenient transportation options available there.

Is there any way to know the gates involved before the actual date of departure?
No, but you should be able to find out while enroute using the Delta app.

From MCO on June 11, 2019 all of the United flights I saw were to ORD. I sorted them on Exoedia by "earliest landing" and then "lowest price." If United flies from MCO to EWR to BUD on that date, both the price and time are terrible.
United doesn't fly to BUD at all (or PRG for that matter). That is why nothing came up on your search. I guess as part of Star Alliance, they are content to let Lufthansa handle those routes.
-
When booking this itinerary, be careful to make sure that the flights actually connect at CDG. I see several on Google Flights that involve a transfer from CDG to ORY.
-
Oh, and you can book a return with a single connection, over 3 hours (specifically 4-ish or 6-ish hours), by flying PRG-AMS-MCO, or PRG-AMS-TPA via DL/KLM. On the way over you can do a single connection by flying TPA-AMS-BUD.....TPA-AMS is a new nonstop route just announced by Delta to begin next year.
There is also Lufthansa, with service from both MCO and TPA, so MCO/TPA-FRA-BUD and PRG-FRA-MCO/TPA are available as single connections. FRA-MCO arrives at 5:50 pm, and FRA-TPA at 5:55 pm, so an extra hour or so of daylight than the AMS flights. Note that next June, TPA-FRA is 5x weekly and does not operate on Sundays or Wednesdays.

United doesn't fly to EWR or IAD from Gainesville.
UA doesn't fly anywhere from GNV. I was responding to OP's statement about UA sending passengers to ORD to get to Europe. I'm assuming that OP was referring to other airports in the area. UA does fly to EWR and IAD from JAX, MCO and TPA.
-
UA does not make sense. Instead of flying straight north for a flight to Europe they only transport passengers to ORD even though that is flying in the wrong direction.
What about Newark? UA has way more flights to Europe from there than they do from ORD. There is also IAD.

The fee will be between six to ten euros.
€6-10 seems pretty minimal, considering U.S.-based ULCC's such as Frontier and Spirit charge $35+ for a carry-on bag.
-
There is no way you can make the next flight on any of the available options if you buy one ticket.
In order to be able to buy a connecting itinerary on one ticket, it has to meet the minimum connection time for that airport. How do you know "there is no way you can make the next flight"?
-
I know Delta has a nonstop from JFK to Budapest, because I'm booked on it in a few weeks.
Are you sure? I can't seem to find any such flight. The only nonstop JFK-BUD flight I see is on LOT Polish, operating 4x weekly.

AS is my airline of choice. Been buying tickets from them for years. I'm Gold 75K in their mileage program.
For a few years now there really is no "R/T pricing vs. One way" pricing difference.
SEA to FLL = $ZZZ.00
FLL to SEA return = $XXX.00
For years I've been buying R/T.
Today, this morning, I asked myself why? Price is the same whether it's 2 PNR's or 1 PNR.
Unless I'm missing something. That's the reason for the question.
As was mentioned by waterbug123 earlier, the only real advantage to booking a r/t instead of one way is that any change/cancellation fees would only be applied once for a r/t vs. twice for two one ways. Although, as an MVP Gold 75K, I believe AS waives those fees for you anyway.
Booking two one-ways also gives you the flexibility to use more than one airline for each leg of the trip. I used to live in SEA, and the one thing that always annoyed me about Alaska's SEA-FLL schedule is that the post cruise return flight doesn't depart FLL until 6-7 pm. I would much rather take a noon-ish one stop flight on one of the other carriers and be back in SEA by 5 or 6 pm vs. sitting around in FLL all day and then arriving in SEA around 10 pm.

In fact the dining rooms never served breakfast or lunch during the cruise, except on two sea days where they had brunch from 8:30am-1:00pm. (As our son is always up and wanting breakfast by 7am, we didn’t partake of the brunch).
We just got off the 2/24 sailing yesterday, and there was breakfast served in the Gold Pearl dining room on port days as well as debarkation day. The hours were kind of limited though (usually something like 7:00-9:00 but varied based on port arrival times).

We had a balcony room under the lido buffet on Splendor a couple years ago. Other than the occasional food service cart rolling by, it was quiet. I would assume quieter than being under the pool deck.

Depends...does it expire before the end of the cruise? Then yes, it might be a problem.

I'm shopping for my tickets now for June. So far Alaska Air seems to have the bestprice at 921 round trip from Orlando Florida to Seattle Wa. and then back home.
Is that $921 per person? Price seems really high...

Anyone know if I have Cheers, can I order a double (i.e. rum & coke, 7 & 7)? And if so, does that count as 1 or 2 towards the daily limit?

If you plan on arriving a bit later, the Splendor passengers will have been departing and leaving the parking lot, opening slots for new arrivals.
Not on the day that OP will be there.

Second, time of the year matters. As I understand it, Mexico doesn't do Daylight Savings Time and most of the US does, so that will affect time issues.
Mexico does do DST, but they don't change the clocks on the same dates as the U.S. For example, in 2018, U.S. DST runs from Mar. 11 - Nov. 4. In Mexico, it's Apr. 1 - Oct. 28. So, for most of the year, Puerto Vallarta is 2 hours ahead of Pacific Time, but from Mar. 11 - Apr. 1 (this year), it will be only one hour ahead.

It blows my mind that Carnival doesn't raise the price of something like this that sells out quickly, by itself.
I've thought the same thing. On our first cruise 3 years ago, FTTF was $49.95. Since then, the price has gone up to $69.95, but it still sells out. Perhaps it would make sense to start with a higher price (like $99), and then offer a discount closer to the time of sailing if sales are slow. I mean, that is what they already do with cruise fares, right?

IF you put------ Long Beach Aquarium discounts------- into Google there are a page of the possibilities.
Thank you for the tip. After doing a little research, I found a couple of coupons that could definitely help us out. One is for a free child admission with the purchase of a full-priced adult admission, and the other is for $11 off an adult admission. This should bring the total for the 3 of us to $49, down from $78. I will post links below for anyone who is interested.
Is there anyone who has been to the aquarium recently, that can confirm they will hold our luggage? I couldn't find any information about it on their FAQ page. The only thing it mentioned is that they don't have lockers.
-
Just keep checking! I booked our upcoming 2/24 cruise on 1/16, just 39 days out. FTTF was sold out at the time, but then became available on 1/23 (32 days out).

The problems in Sinoloa are like saying don’t visit Los Angeles because Oakland is dangerous.
I don't know. Normally I'd agree with that, but the info on the State Dept. website says violent crime is widespread in Sinaloa:
Source: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/mexico-travel-advisory.htmlSinaloa state – Level 4: Do Not Travel
Do not travel due to crime. Violent crime is widespread. Criminal organizations are based and operating in Sinaloa state.
U.S. government employees are prohibited from travel in most areas of the state. In areas where travel is permitted, the following restrictions are in place:
-
Mazatlan: U.S. government travel is permitted only in Zona Dorada, the historic town center, and direct routes to and from these locations and the airport or the cruise ship terminal.
-
Los Mochis and Port Topolobampo: U.S. government travel is permitted within the city and the port, as well as direct routes to and from these locations and the airport.

Our last cruise was on Princess after our first 2 being on Carnival. We are returning to Carnival for our next cruise, not because we didn't like Princess, but because we didn't didn't see it as being that much better to justify the extra $$$.
